Hey, thank you!! I will definitely keep making them, and I appreciate you watching. Livescope is awesome, and it has taught me more about fish behavior in a few years, than 50 years of fishing. TIGHT LINES!!
Thanks for the tip on the rod. I've been looking for another jig rod to try out. I have Lowrance Active target and it's definitely a game changer but it dang sure doesn't make them bite.
Great video as usual, it’s a great tool. I have gotten them every drop, but some days they just didn’t bit. Down size and everything. I like to bass fish the old way.
Yeah, I like fishing shallow water for bass, and LiveScope doesn't help much for that. For the naysayers, try fishing in Mississippi in August and September, and try and make em bite!! It is tough. Some days are better than others!! I guess the. Ain't thing is to get out there and go fishing!! TIGHT LINES!!
Hey Mr. Slayer, haven't had a chance to watch and comment lately on your videos. My new house finally got completed and we've been busy moving in. As far as livescope goes, i haven't been able to get mine yet, but I'm still going too. I've used it a few times with one of my friends and did real well one time and couldn't catch any another time. It definitely showed us where the fish were. I love using it so the fish can teach me there behavior, in all points. I'm all in....... Tight lines. God Bless
Hey, Norm., thanks for the update and congrats on your new house!! There is definitely a learning curve with LiveScope. You will love it. Get your setting right, so you can see your jig. That is the hardest part. Thanks for all your support, I really appreciate it. TIGHT lines, and God bless!!
Before I got my Livescope it was very difficult to catch many crappie. Since I have gotten it, my catch numbers have gone up a lot. I primarily do vertical jigging only. It’s a very good thing when you actually know there are crappie down there in your fishing location. But like you said you can’t make them bite. I fish the same lake that you do, and have had many hours of fishing time out there without catching many fish. I’m fixing to put a Terrova spot lock on my boat with a side pole for my Livescope. Mine is on my trolling motor now and has worked well there, but I believe the side pole may work better on this lake.
Hey, Sans. Check out the Ultrex, it is a lot more responsive. The Terrova is not too good in low wind, when you really need to steer with your foot pedal. The Terrova has a lag that is really frustrating. I wish I would have gotten the Ultrex. It has spot lock, too. See you on the water!! TIGHT LINES!!
@@bigcatchfishingmississippi yea that’s what is was thinking. Looked like it looking at the houses. Sure got some crappie in that lake obviously lol. Thank you. Enjoy your videos.
Great video Doc, me personally it's another tool. I've fished with them a couple times and really didn't like it. I didn't like staring at the screen all day and I like the surprise of the bite
Hey, Rod!! I'll tell you that after staring at that screen for a few hours it can give you a headache, especially if they aren't bitng!! Some folks like it, some don't, but it is just a tool, in my opinion. I appreciate you watching!! TIGHT LINES, brother!
Yep i found plenty of fish saturday in alabama i caught some good ones wasnt easy thiugh had to work for them i hate summer fishing for alot of reasons...good vid though 👍
Hey, thanks for watching!! I hate summer fishing, too. Don't like the heat or the boats!! I appreciate you leaving the comment and the support. TIGHT LINES!!
I have this debate with my self all the time. Sometimes I catch my self so glued to the screen I have to do something else. I think it can be a little dangerous for small lakes with poor management. Since livescope came out I have seen a noticeable decline in crappie populations at my home lake. I use it and enjoy it but Im sure alot of people abuse it for the sake of catching limits. It’s a great tool no doubt but I think it will be controversial for a while longer until the regulations come up to speed with tech. Great video!
Man,, that is a great point. Solid lake management, with appropriate limits, is the ticket. You comment was excellent!! I appreciate you, TIGHT LINES!!
the ones that cant catch fish or afford it blame all fish related problems on it. i was a nay sayer till a guy took me out and showed me what it does 5 years ago, then went out and bought one. neither did it make the fish bite, run at my bait or just jump in the boat. you can do as much damage with a SI/DI unit set up right as you can Forward scanning sonar. ive taken a few people out to show them its not what there persception of it is here in N MS. tight lines BCFM.
Hey, thank you for that comment. I agree with everything you said. It is not as easy as some folks claim. Just cause you can see them doesn't mean you can make em bite!! Hey, I hope you go fishing soon!! TIGHT LINES!!
Unfortunately there are some that choose to abuse any and all things. Those that are responsible, law abiding, and sensible sportsmen don’t abuse the resources. Technology will continue to evolve and sportsmen will continue to enjoy the benefits of it without abusing the resources. I for one can typically catch more than I desire to keep. I choose to keep what I want and throw all others back to enjoy another day. That’s usually 6-12 fish total. There are people that will keep any and all that they catch without regard to laws or common sense. Unfortunately “new rules” are ineffective unless there’s more effort to police the rules/laws! I’ve fished for the better part of my life and have been checked less times than I can count on one hand. There’s people that call it cheating and that’s ridiculous! Let’s all go back to the dugout canoe and row out to check our hand woven fish baskets to make it fair…… People will always abuse the resources if they can process that it’s ok to do so. Thankfully, I’m not one. ✌️❤️🎣
Chris, that was excellent!! Right on target!! Man, thanks for the support and taking the time to write that awesome comment. I appreciate you! TIGHT LINES!!
I am coming from a recreational not tournament fisherman. I have been fishing for crappie since 1982. With no technology in Huston TX where white crappie was dominate. I would limit out almost every time out. I was in Texas Fisherman back then for catching crappie. I moved to Carolinas in 1990 and had to learn different because now I am fishing black crappie in clear lakes. Every time something new comes out the argument comes up about depleting fish. Long linning multiple poles was also blamed for cheating. I have done it all and single pole jigging is my thing. Side imaging same thing accused for bad on fisheries. I was catching black crappie in clear lakes after figuring it out with only side image and DI. I do not like going to 20 to 30 brush piles a day. I have over 200 brush marked in one lake. Live scope has allowed me to go 10 to 15 piles a day because I can learn more how the react like downside and presentation. It is fun for me. I only keep fish only 10% of the time that which family can eat. So actually now I am keeping less with Live scope then with no or little technology. Great video. For me in order of importance is 1- presentation, 2- profile and 3-color. Yes, trout magic 1/64 is my go to for finicky black crappie and bite is hard. I use a Itty Bitty by garland or a 1.5 inch bait. If crappie are feeding a 2 inch bait will work. Thanks for your informative videos I enjoy them the most.
Hey, thank you for that awesome comment!! People like you are the reason I keep making these videos!! It made my day reading it. I agree with everything you said. 100%. I don't fish a lot of brush piles, either, especially like I did when I was younger! I keep less fish now that I ever have before, even though I catch about 4 x more. Well, I wish you luck and TIGHT LINES, always!!
What’s really sad is why someone else thinks they should control your life in the name of ‘concern about the fish population’ when they get to fish about every day and are a whole lot more damaging to that population than I will ever be using my livescope 4 or 5 times a year! I love mine and I’m keeping mine! Mind your own business naysayers!!
Hey, I hear you! I really appreciate your comment and for watching and taking time. Means a lot to me!! TIGHT LINES!! I hope this year you get more chances to use LiveScope!!
