Parents should teach their kids to eat scrambled eggs boiled eggs fried eggs pickled eggs and raw eggs because one time I was invited on a camping trip with some other kids.... the next morning the captain of the boat fixed scrambled eggs for breakfast and this one girl wouldn't eat them so I gave her one of my pickled eggs to eat instead.... she started complaining about her belly hurting right before we were about to go fishing..... the captain of the boat called off the fishing trip and all of us had to go home and didn't get to fish. Her parents should have taught her how to eat eggs at home.

When you cut your jig bodies down, how long do you think they are? 1 inch or so? Do you feel it makes more of a difference in profile or in action to cut the body down?
Hey, the Little Minnow is 1.75 inches. I cut off about 1/4 inch or so. It is probably about 1 and 1/4 inch after I cut it. It makes the profile smaller and decreases the action, because the tail is cut. They seem to want more finesse type baits in the summer. At least that is my experience. Hope that helps. TIGHT LINES!!

Hey, I use 10# monofilament. Berkley Trilene - clear. I use the Trout Magnet jigheads in. 1/64 oz. Or the Crappie Magnet in 1/32, 1/16th oz. Usually nickle plated. Hope that helps. Also, either 1/8 or 1/4 slip sinker pegged with bobber stoppers. My favorite is 6th Sense. TIGHT LINES!

What do you do when the crappie chase your bait then stop right under it? Been struggling with all summer long
I haven't figured that out yet!! Summertime fishing with high water temps seems to turn off the bite. They are not willing to commit to eating it. I will twitch it and change up the retrieve. Most of the time I will just target different fish and not waste time on it. Very frustrating! Hey if you figure it out let me know!! Thanks, and TIGHT LINES!!

Great video footage of your livescope. I can’t seem to see my bait on mine. I’ve been trying a split shot weight above my jig but I may need to use a bullet weight like I saw on your video. What’s your thoughts? Could it be a setting issue?
It could be your settings. I have a link for a 2 min video with my settings in the video description. I would try casting 30 feet from the boat, and watch where your jig hits the water on the screen. The cone is only 20 degrees, so at 30 feet in dead center, you have about 10 feet in the cone. Your jig will fade the closer you get to the right or left border of the cone field. So, at dead center, at 30 feet away, you have 5 feet on the right and 5 feet on the left. The closer you get, the smaller the cone field of view. I think about 7 feet at 20 feet away. Try to a t. I hope it helps. TIGHT LINES!!

Looks like you are doing well this summer! Nice video my man. My home lake is very cyclical for crappie and unfortunately we seem to be in a bust year. There is still plenty of small fish but man what I would do to catch a dozen 12 inchers right now! I might have travel a bit to make some new videos 🤔
I gotta admit that I am very, very lucky to live on a lake with good-sized, hungry crappie! They grow all year long. I have seen some of the hawgs on your lake! TIGHT LINES!!
@@bigcatchfishingmississippi yea we grow them big here it’s just the amount of time it takes to grow them and the spawn can be unpredictable. Good spawn year will make for excellent fishing about 5 years later.
