This is one reason why i don't go far without my tubes and stuff. When I first got my AT I was about 100 miles from home when i got a flat. Crazy your T7 isn't tubeless but hats off to those tires for holding up that long.
You were better off with no luck at all! 😂 Good thing those tire side walls just keep getting tougher and tougher but they are starting to become true knuckle busters in the home shop let alone trail side …..
These would be great on tubeless rims. I’m getting a different set of tires this weekend, I doubt I would have been able to swap the tube myself on the trail.
@@AdventureTomek I recently threw a set of the tusk Dsport tires on my ktm 690 enduro (before I sold her off) in my lil workshop at the house working off a Home Depot bucket and and the floor, and let me tell you those sidewalls were absolutely no joke!! The entire time I was thinking how much this would really suck on the side of a trail! 😂

This is a very handy video for me. I have the 2track rear on my tenere. I was reluctant to mount it because it was so stiff, that I had to have a shop do it after trying for hours with spoons. I’m sure if I had clamps and blocks on it like I see in other videos, that I could have done it. But the point was to do it with what I would actually carry on a trip. In the end, I decided that if it’s that stiff, maybe I could ride it out on a flat if it happens. I don’t think a trail change with that rear is viable (high chance I get it off the rim, but not back on, especially if the weather is cold) This video gives me some reassurance. Thanks!
I had to have a friend help me and we used clamps to get the tire on. I really don’t think I could have got a new tube in myself either…. It did great getting back home… 35mph max 40mph felt comfortable
You've confirmed my biggest fear, a flat tire miles from home. I have the Trailmax Mission tires which are pretty stiff too, so this gives me a little more confidence that I could potentially make it out of wherever I am as long as I take it easy. The stiff sidewalls definitely help.

You should carry a few heavy duty zip ties. Looks like you didn't need them though. Those sidewalls must be crazy hard. I bet they are fun tires to install. 😉

The dilemma with these stiffer sidewall/carcass adv tires…. they are a struggle to get on and off. I don’t even think I could have replaced the tube myself. Now if this was a tubeless rim! Plug, pump and go…..
