Rebecca, come pick me up, I'm surrounded by 18 Hoppers and I'm scared Игры
I love that they incorporated the original song from that level into this
I'm glad they brought this one into the remake, parts of it sound very nice, but I wish some of it was more pronounced like the original.
SHODAN: S-s-s-so nice, when insects briiinging music f-from my original story to remake.😈
Me: Respect lvl 9000 for Nightdive Studios for bringing Reactor from System Shock 1993 OST into this remake!😎
Thanks for uploading this king, this is my favorite track from the original, glad to see it make it into the remake
Listen to Head Like a Hole by Nine Inch Nails, if you haven't already.
they allowed it to be atmospheric while still keeping the nine inch nails
Head like a hole, black as your soul, I'd rather die, than give you control
Like a chase scene vibe mixed between Cyberpunk and Beastars
Very cool!!
❤
Drained the aggression out and made it sound like music more fit for a Splinter Cell game.
what? You need to get your ears checked if you think they took the 'aggression out'
@@rampantsarcasm2220 Oh it's still there, it just doesn't go nearly as hard as the original, not even close.
The original track wants you DEAD.
This version feels more like... You're on a sneaky mission, so idk. Maybe it's still fitting, this is one of the tracks people praise a lot in the remake, and compared to most of the other track it is pretty good.
Original is just better to me.
Edit: Giving it another listen though, it does sound a lot like how someone like Kurt Harland might have re-worked the track, it just doesn't feel as appropriate as the original track, still it's really well done. Don't mistake my comment for me saying it sounds terrible!
Double Edit: The Bass line is totally missing a half step note before the rest of the riff kicks in, which does make it sound more generic. But that might be because it's the combat track, idk.
Triple Edit: (Turns out I'm wrong, the funky notes are still there in the exploration theme, my bad lol)
It sounds more like a techno version of Soul Reaver's Necropolis combat theme, than System Shock's original reactor track.
@@zion6680 how can you listen to a loud bloody earraping bass of the original?
I personally wanted all themes to be more active but from the overall sound perspective it is at least listenable unlike original
@@vadimushakov5883 The reason I can listen to the originals is because the originals sound like primitive machinery and signals (Which in a way at the time, ii all it was - sines, squares, triangles blah blah all that sound synth stuff). there's a whole slew of music like that. I like the sounds used. It's the sound of back when things used to be different lol.
I actually think time made the old music better, and that it was harder to appreciate back then.
The tunes are so good infact they'd be listenable on a floppy drive or printer no problem for me.
The new music is good, but I think some of the tracks just work better in the original game, they're kind of excessive, which I like.
Remake's music is more subdued, but still menacing, I was being overly critical.
@@zion6680 I like the original much better too. That industrial Nine Inch Nails style of music fits much better than what we got in the remake. I get that its supposed to be more immersive here but it took a lot of the punchy soul out of the original in the process.
