This video is sorely missing his win in the Amstel Goldrace, which was probably his most superb win ever, and his MTB-worldcup win, which underlined even more his versatility.
It's quite clear that his physical ability is of different league, I haven't seen sprint with that much excess power left before he made it seems so easy.
His team haven’t had a place in the tdf as they’re not a world tour team but they have a place for 2021 and he’s said he wants to do the tdf and then head to the olympics after
@@thecyclingdane Not that his dad relied purely on natural talent. Seems like all but one on the PDM team was running on high octane. In my experience there's one reason that a rider is so much faster than the rest.

Bentelan which is Betamethasone - administered by Bertus Fok. 11-7-88 TdF. You would have to guess anyone taking a steroid then, didn't do it just the once. There's little point in believing any performance in cycling.
Maybe I'm missing something but cycling needs a new measurement - new SINGLE unit of expressing power of time, so one can compare differing power of differing time. Running/athletics has 400 metric measurements which is very close to a 'mental model', but cycling analysist/even very knowledgable commentators refer to x Power of x time which which require arithmatic, just make a new unit of measurement ffs already please.
@@sambarrett4726No that's the wrong direction, that's integration not derivative. J/s is not usefull for explaining human performance. Need to get closer to mental model.
@@blinky6667 average wattage can easily be used for the measurement of "differing power of differing time", so I honestly don't see what the problem is. You also have peak wattage if that is necessary.

Yeah its really catching I like it!
Great vid, it's binckbank tour btw
Ah yes you are right :) Glad you liked it
I mean, his Amstel gold race win is by far the most beautiful thing i’ve seen in cycling for the past decade.. Why is that missing:(
Ja dat is wel een misser. De amazing overwinning van de Amstel Gold race er niet bij te hebben.
Its in part 1 :P

Performance wise he already is GOAT. Results wise only a cyborg will stop him.
Well said he is incredible atm

why is he not participating in giro this year even though his team is participarting?
im curious why is he no where near the TDF?

1:15: very little effort whatsoever? I doubt he felt that way. Very little close competition, maybe.
The narrator needs a bit of practice. But good video!
Jack will get better :P

He has done enough now to make a new video I think...
Ken griffey of cycling
Mathieu heeft het wielrennen gekoloniseerd
With very little effort? He basically collapsed at the end of the race
Strade Bianche
Questo è un fenomeno, altro che ganna o come si chiama
Just dudes with poel in the end lol

He does have the cycling genes from gods, his dad and his grandfather were also exceptional cyclists
