Thanks yours was the only one that was explained in a way that I could get it, and now I use it to farm money at the Tower because they have two stores and each has a different special for the day so you just have to sell all but one then go to the other store and copy the ones I just sold and sell that stores special and rinse and repeat so no having to sleep change the special.

Just letting everyone know that this glitch still works on PS4 I just tried and duped 100s of clickers and jewelry boxes
+Tony Sobey Thank you for letting me know. However, I wouldn't recommend duplicating jewel boxes. Duplicate Bolter Tissue when it's not a requested item. Jewel boxes will sell for the same amont you buy them back for (giving you a zero return). Bolter Tissue, on the other hand, will be bought back for only $241 when not requested and sell for $2401 when it IS requested. You get almost ten times the amount back on the investment. :D

I have a lot of problems to do it.. the square button chatboxe stay appear and i couldn't do the glitch... i'm repeating this one million time but it's still work 1/200000 try's.. Help me please..

Well, It's definitely all about timing. That one time it works, try to time out how you did it that time. It typically takes me 3-5 tries, on average. Here are some suggestions on getting this to work:
1) try varying the timing for when you press the Touch pad button (pressing it slightly before or after you normally do)
2) try adjusting your thumb to press the X and Square buttons at slightly different times (so you press X slightly before Square or vise versa)
I've had someone tell me they had to wait a couple seconds before hitting the Touch Pad button, so keep that in mind. I had to do it almost immediately.
If those don't help you do this method, then maybe check out the playlist I made specifically for duplication methods. It has a few others that may work better for you: ruclips.net/p/PLwF7pCYHQWPcWNMCfzS33i9CG32SLF71I

You may find another method even better for this. Since this method requires money (and your friend doesn't likely have much of it), then there are a few other methods that may work better (one especially if you have stuff in the game with your own save file). The exponential duplication method: ruclips.net/video/qNUiInmS9gg/видео.html - works every time (but requires a co-op partner, a way to back up your save files, and patience... and only works for items you can droop for others to actually pick up, so no XP items).
For mass Solo duplication, including XP items, there's the Ethernet method: ruclips.net/video/cay5GXpvJ98/видео.html (which is easier on PS4 than Xbox; it can work by hooking your PS4 to a device, like a laptop, to share it's wi-fi via Ethernet cable) and the non-Ethernet method: ruclips.net/video/bK1OzZmLEN0/видео.html (which is easier on Xbox; you may need to hook your PS4 to the internet via a hot spot or mobile data in order to lengthen the time it takes for the "Connection Lost" window to appear).
Oh, and if you simply want to use this method we're commenting on, then there is a way to make money off of it by using Bolter Liver. I explain it later in this video: ruclips.net/video/a2HOkPuaItc/видео.html - and I'd recommend doing it in The Tower in the Slums because there are two stores right next to each other (allowing you to go back and forth between them all day rather than sleeping over and over).
I'd suggest using a couple of the duplication methods in tandem so you get the most out of it, but I'm sure you can find out what works best for you.

P.S. I'd recommend not duplicating XP items until after your friend has gotten sick of leveling up, legitimately. This is a REALLY fun game, and I'd hate for your friend to miss out on some of the joy. :D

Well, I've been told that it can take a few seconds before you're supposed to hit the Touch pad... had one person say it took like 2 seconds or something before they were supposed to hit the Touch Pad.

All of those methods are free (don't require in game money), but the Exponential duplication method doesn't work for duplicating Disaster Relief or Bolter Liver.

Good! Just try hitting the buttons in about the same way you did before. I'm not even sure I know exactly how I hit the buttons to get it to work. Like I said earlier, it often takes me 3-5 tries to get it just right.
U can buy back 99999 stacks of items it will freeze for a minute or two but right after it will unfreeze and u will have them in ur inventory.
+HDgamer If you can get it to work for that much, then good on you. I waited around 20 minutes and nothing happened. Maybe it works if you get lucky or if you don't have much in your inventory... or if what you're buying isn't too expensive. In either case, I'm glad you got it to work for you, but I couldn't (and others have said so, too). I tend to use another method if I want to duplicate large numbers of things (like the Ethernet method or Exponential duplication method).

I bought 260376 bolter livers and it took 2 minutes but I'm on Xbox one s
I also found one we're u join someone's game and goto the storage bag and leave and spam x and when u load in u have the storage thing still open and then be quick and goto the item u want to dupe and drop it and it should say it's still there so keep drooping the item u want to dupe and if it don't let u drop it go to a item right down from it and then go back to the item u are duping and boom

Yeah, I know about that method. It can cause your game to crash completely. I've been thinking of doing a video on that for a while, if I can find a way to make it work consistently without crashing. We'll see. Thanks for trying to be helpful, though. I appreciate it. :D

After I tried it my sell all option vanishef, no idea why, but now it only says "sell" on the bottom of the screen :s I tried restarting and everything
+LᴀᴢʏRᴇɪɴᴅᴇᴇʀ ♚ You may have accidentally sold all your valuables. You need at least some valuables in your inventory (it can be as little as 2 jewel boxes or 2 bags of coffee, I think). As for your other issue, here are some suggestions:

2) try adjusting the angle of your thumb when you press X and Square (to press X slightly before Square or vise versa)

I'm not sure why they would say it's all at the same time. I guess their timing must be off. I've even had a couple people say they had to press the Touch Pad button a second or more AFTER pushing the initial two together.
doesn't work, the option to choose the quantity to sell pops up first then then "are you sure you want to sell all" pops up right after and I can't scroll up or down in the background...

Then there was this one girl who told me I look like Eric Stretch when he was younger (many years ago). I've also been told I sound like Dane Cook. Never Sam Huntington, though. I can see it a little, though, and I'd have to listen to him to see if I agree that he sounds like me or not. :)
If this doesnt work for you .. there is another way, delete the game off your playstation, then disconnect the internet from the ps menu, then put the disc back in! Install the game all over again. And there u go! Duplicate as much as u want and need! Then update the game again.

It looks easy but for me either the sell menu gets interrupted and turned off or it moves by one tile like lets say from pouch to jewels but i still sell the pouch

On xbox one you need to press the "back button" and I don't think it'll work when you press B
+Plutonium device In both the Xbox one variant and the PS4 version (the one in this video), you don't press the button corresponding to B on the Xbox controller. On Xbox, you'll only use the "back button" and the A & X buttons. You either have a PS4 Pro or an XBox One S (or whatever it's called), am I right? 100,000 may be low enough for all 4 systems, but I was referring to 999,999. You can sell that much on a PS4 or Xbox One only to find your system locked up indefinitely, but the newer systems seem to be able to handle it just fine.

Actually, I was too hasty on that statement. This glitch still works but the timing needs to be correct, it took me many many tries before I found the method. I managed to get to legend level 250 in no time.

Yeah, the first 50 times I tried it the option to choose how many to sell disappears if it shows up after "sell all?". That got thinking it was patched.

Well, it's all in the timing. I think they're done patching this game. It's been ages since 1.12 came out. So the duplication methods that aren't patched in my playlist will keep working forever, I think.

I think I finally got it. But how can you get the special deal on Bolter tissue. I slept for 2 two in game days and still nothing..

I've heard that joining some random person's game online may make the requested item be Bolter Tissue, but I don't know if that works all the time. It's all up to the Random Number Generator.
You may want to consider duplicating things via the free methods that don't require money. One is guaranteed to work and the other two are difficult to get the timing right for (and work for XP items like Disaster relief). P.S. Try the Tower stores too (there are two of them in the Tower in the Slums). That will not only increase your chances, but also make it so you can duplicate and sell without having to sleep in order to do so: duplicate in the store where it's not a requested item and sell in the store where it is a requested item.

It may have been patched. I haven't tried, recently. You may have to use the drop out or Ethernet Cord method, if that one still works, but... that one requires really precise timing.
You could just save scuff with with friends (that one is free and works with almost everything, last time I checked). I have a video on that, too. Look for the Dying Light Duplication playlist and it's in there (along with a few other methods that may or may not work). The "Exponential Duplication" and "Weapon and Item Duplication" videos are the ones that show the "Dup with friends" exploit.
P.S. Unless they patched back in being able to pick up friend's Disaster Relief, this method doesn't work for duplicating that. It will work for that stuff you can turn in at the bucket in "The Following" DLC, though... so there's that (unless they patched that out, too).
How do you get it to show sell all instead of are you sure you want to sell all valuables
+Box By hitting the square and X button at the same time and then immediately pushing down on the touch pad. This causes the "sell all valuables" window to close and allow the "sell item" window to stay up. It's a timing thing. This does work on XBone too, but you press the A and X buttons at the same time and hit the Select button right after that.
When you have the "Sell Item" window up and can move the orange highlight behind it, then you know you've done it right and you can "Sell All" of another item to duplicate it.

+Lok_Konexis You don't scroll with the touch pad. You push down on the touch pad button. If you do the glitch correctly, then you'll be able to scroll around behind the "Sell: (Item)" window, while using the left analogue stick or D-pad. Here's my best advice on getting this to work properly:
1) ensure that you have at least some valuables in your inventory (not just one bag of coffee or one jewel box)
2) try varying the timing at which you press the Touch Pad button (pressing it slightly before or after you normally do)
3) try adjusting your thumb to press the X and Square buttons at slightly different times (so you press X slightly before Square or vise versa)
I've had someone tell me they had to wait a couple seconds before hitting the Touch Pad button, so keep that in mind. I had to do it almost immediately, though, and it takes me an average of 3-5 times to get it to work.

Indeed. And, technically, there have been any patches for months and months. The 1.12 patch was the last and likely final patch for Dying Light. I think this got more patches than the typical game of it's genre because it did so well, and they released The Following and such.

Ah, I just didn't keep tons of stuff in my storage. I just got the weapons and items I wanted and duplicated enough of them so I wouldn't run out. My stash doesn't take long to get into, but I'm sure it's awful for those who are weapon collectors and such.

I actually did show how to get a stack of 999999 of throwing weapons (grenades if memory serves). It doesn't work for weapons (though duplicating weapons in the store is an option).
In order to get a stack of 999999 there are two methods that will work. First is using the drop/store all but one method. You take the stack you have and get rid of all but one of that stack of crafting parts by storing the rest or dropping the rest. Now use a solo duplication method to turn that one into the largest number of crafting parts or items that you have. Now drop or store all but one of that item you just duplicated and turn the one into many again. Each time you turn 1 into many, you're growing the amount you have. Switch between items as you wish and you'll get 999999 quickly. (you could also use the exponential duplication method, which no longer works for XP items: ruclips.net/video/XudtpzdaSzo/видео.html
Now, to get 999999 throwing weapons, items, medkits, lockpics, kings, or anything else that doesn't stack higher than 10, 30, 99, etc., you have to use one of the two internet connection duplication methods that are somewhat difficult and require pretty perfect timing. +John Dal If you mean when will bolter tissue show as a requested item at the store, that's mainly random. I've heard that if you join a random person (or friend, maybe) in an online session, then bolter tissue will be the requested item, but I haven't tested that. Otherwise, it's just sleep twice and check the store until it's the requested item. If you're wondering where you get bolter tissue (as opposed to bolter liver), you get it by killing a Bolter in the game and searching it. You have to get far enough in the main story of the main campaign to have bolters show up, though.

P.S. You CAN use this method to make money, but it requires getting Bolter Tissue to be a requested item so you can sell them back. I'd suggest using the method for money generation in the Tower in the Slums (as there are 2 stores you can run back and forth between to buy and sell Bolter Liver for about 10x return for each sold). When you get the ability to move in the background you can only see the sell all the one where you press triangle goes away immediately

+Abdulaziz Al-Shammari Yeah, I realized that after making the video, but the chances of accidentally buying back all of the 1 million duplicated things and crashing your game was too high. One could buy back from the 1 million "sold" in increments of 2,000 or so. The could save time.

I duped so many gold weapons, that when I open my player's stash, it loads for around 20 - 30 secs
I have at least 10 different types of gold weapon. Earlier this week and today, I completed bozak Horde thrice, I got the bow, the electric arrow and the fire arrow blueprints, got around 10 - 16 dockets in total, opened all of them and every single one of them are gold weapons, is this supposed to happen? Cause when I watch John the Chief he only got 1 out of 100
+John Doe You don't need to keep that many. You can always keep one spare and duplicate the spare one to use that duplication. LOL But whatever works for you, I suppose. :) I'm glad you found the method useful. :D
I don't think that's normal for Bozak Horde dockets, but maybe they updated things since I played last.
As a side note, if you're looking to get the explosive arrows, you may want to check out my "Bring everything into the Bozak Horde" video. Just checked out the video, what if I finished the game? How do I get back to Tahir's part, do I have to start a new game?
+John Doe You can Chapter/Quest select in advanced options (to "The Museum") while looking at your saved game files from the Dying Light main menu. Be aware that doing so will reset your side quests, but you can always select the last mission of the game again (Extraction or whatever) later. You'll just have to go through the final story mission again to get back to 100% story completion.

Maybe even watch the video on a device that can see annotations (like a computer), so you can get the full understanding of how to kick Bozak Horde in the teeth, if you need to. As of 20 Mar 2017 it still works. Only problem I have is it rings out a bunch of 99's for example explosives and the rest must be sold as all slots are full. Same for weapons. Requires nimble fingers and fast speed for me. 1 Question I have - Is when you jump into the following how must goes with you on the ps4 or must you start from zero.

All the one's that don't say ***Patched*** in the title, still work (which is all but 2 of them). If you have any issues getting them to work, I often have advice that will help.
I'm not sure I understand your question, so I'll answer as best I can.
You can drop in and out of The Following games (co-op partners and friends) at will. You can also move from the Following into the Main Campaign and back. You just have to transfer your character into the Following the first time you do. Then everything transfers back and forth (it has the save slot in the same spot in both the Main Campaign and the Following).

Can anyone help or at least relate? I do everything correctly but the sell tab disappears in front of the sell all. I can move the list with the sell Ll tab I front so I think I'm doing something right. I just can't manage to to keep the regular sell tab up.

I've had someone tell me they had to wait a couple seconds before hitting the Touch Pad button, so keep that in mind. I had to do it almost immediately, though, and it takes me an average of 3-5 times to get it to work. You'll know you got it to work when the "Sell: (Item)" window stays up and you can move around behind it.

I'd suggest the Ethernet method (the one at the top which is easier on PS4 than Xbox; it can work by hooking your system to a device, like a laptop, to share it's wi-fi via Ethernet cable), the non-Ethernet method (which is easier on Xbox than PS4; you may need to hook your PS4 to the internet via a hot spot or mobile data to lengthen the time it takes for the "Connection Lost" window to appear), or the Exponential duplication method (two videos right next to each other; you only need a co-op partner, a way to back-up your save files, and patience). All of those methods are free, as well (don't require in-game money), and the first two even work to duplicate Disaster Relief.

1) try hitting the X and Square buttons at slightly different times (like adjust your thumb angle slightly one direction or the other to hit X first or Square, etc.)
2) try pushing down on the touch pad button at slightly different times (it can be all about timing and often takes me 3-5 times to get it to work)
3) If those don't work for you, then you could always check out my playlist dedicated to duplication methods. One in there may work better for you (a bunch are free too... cost no money in game): ruclips.net/p/PLwF7pCYHQWPcWNMCfzS33i9CG32SLF71I (I'd suggest the Ethernet method, non-ethernet method, or exponential duplication videos)

This won't work for me the sell item disappears as soon as I do it and it just says sell all valuables this is so frustrating
+Dinkle Berg It's OK. Others have struggled with this method. Here are some suggestions that may help:
1) try varying the time at which you press the Touch Pad button (pressing it slightly before or after you normally do)
2) try adjusting the angle of your thumb when you press X and Square (to press X slightly before Square or vise versa)

+Brandon Pajela This method may have been patched, recently. I'm getting mixed messages about that. Well, apparently this still works on PC, though. In either case, I'll be testing it soon and making a new video or two on other methods that still work (running out of them, now). In the meantime, I'll give you a link to my video with a method they CAN'T patch. All it requires is a co-op partner, a way to back-up your save files, and patience. I just confirmed it still works a few moments ago (for a different individual). So I'll likely be updating the title of the video again in April... if it's still working in April.

I've had some people say "select" others say "address" and someone even mistakenly called it the "start" button (though that's the one on the right). Some even explain what's on the button calling it the "button with two windows on it."

+Daniel Valero Is what you're using to click X and Square at the same time a stack of 3? Is something above or below it only 3? This exploit essentially takes the number of the stack you start with and turns whatever you eventually click "Sell All" on into that same number. If the highest number of things you have is only 3, then drop 2 of them on the ground or in your stash and duplicate the 1 into 3. Repeat for a while (until you have say 20-30), then combine all of those into one stack and use it as the thing you click X and Square on. Now the next item will be a stack of 20-30. I'd recommend using Bolter Tissue at some point (duplicate when it's not a requested item and sell when it is a requested item to get back around 10x the amount of money you invested).
