- After 10 years away, and after being terminated by AEW only two months ago, CM Punk has found his way back to WWE. It was a shocking return at the end of Survivor Series and Solomonster isn't afraid to admit, he didn't think it was going to happen. But he's got all the details on why it happened, when it all came together, Triple H's comments about Punk coming back, the video of an "angry" Seth Rollins reacting to Punk's return, Drew McIntyre being upset last night and how this throws the plans for the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania into chaos now. The day Punk went to Raw and apologized to the Miz, I knew the plan was in motion for Punk to get fired and join WWE and i was right.

Yeah the moment the Elite resigned with AEW, that's when Punk went for the kill. That clearly showed Punk doesn't be in AEW anymore. Even though TK gave him the keys to the kingdom, Punk still wanted out of AEW. He gave up trying to help the younger talents because they don't want to listen to his advice. He doesn't like the structure. It's mismanaged. He couldn't take it anymore. Punk knew TK won't let him go. So what did Punk do? He went to an extreme length to intentionally get himself fired by having another fight with Jack Perry at All In.

I know Rollins has had heat with Punk in the past, but I think Rollins cussing out Punk at the end of the PPV is part of a potential angle for the two of them to have a feud. I think the rest of the guys in WWE who don't like Punk will be professional enough to work with him if told to, question is will Punk be able to do the same. People are claiming that he's changed but I question how much somebody can change in the short time of Punk leaving AEW for WWE.
I think Punk will do fine. He doesn't have to answer to Vince and he isn't the "authority" figure he was in AEW. He just has to show up, do his job and cash his checks. Triple H now being retired only has to focus on the talent's stories, not his own. I think it'll work out fine.

Considering WWE is actually ran by professional adults who won't let conflicts escalate or let people try and sabotage each other, I don't think Punk will have a problem.

I just want him to realize that he's 45 years old, not 25. This means he needs to act like the industry leader that his age and experience dictates.

I hear Solomonster about how the locker room might react to throwing Punk into a WrestleMania main event, but they’ve done it before with big names who weren’t around for years, with the Rock being the most obvious one. It’s been almost 10 years since he’s been in WWE, but he has at least been in the wrestling circle for the last few. I’m also not sure it can be avoided given the timing, how big a name Punk is, and how he’s made it very well known to all its a goal of his.
I never thought I'd see the day of HHH and Punk being able to coexist in the same picture together and HHH dropping whatever pride he had to do the unthinkable. That being said, how long will this last I ask you before contriversay comes knocking again? Punk has more burnt bridges in WWE that are already starting to burn again which makes what you elaborated on it being his last chance giving people something to think about because I'm betting Tony Khan is secretly hoping he gets the last laugh even though he was the one who set all this into motion.

It also looks like Seth and Sami were talking to each other through the cage as Punk walked out in one of the iPhone videos, and it made me think that they were talking about if Seth should drop his Babyface act for a moment to try and get a little heat for not just himself but for a future confrontation between himself and Punk.
Tony had to create Collision and have Punk run it because he refuses to keep his EVP’s/the Elite in check and wants to be friends with everyone. It’s embarrassing and any assertion that Punk was the problem during his run in AEW is laughable
This is what's happening at Mania, either Orton Vs Lesnar or Lesnar Vs McIntyre and Orton Vs Priest Vs Balor In a Triple threat match for the Money in the bank with Orton winning and cashing in on Cody Rhodes after he wins the WWE title to win it at Mania starting their feud for a year. Or you replace Orton with McIntyre in the money in the bank match and he cashes in on Rollins after he beats Punk for the World title on Night One either way, they are saving that Money in the bank cash in for Mania

Never thought this would happen. I still doubt HHH likes Punk one bit but let's see... The thing is once new Drama comes up, i doubt HHH would be like TK doing everything to keep Punk happy. Punk clearly is the same he has always been, he proved that enough in AEW.
If you're a Punk fan, good for you. I'm happy you got him back. Personally I feel like he has no integrity and stands for nothing. I'm glad he isn't in AEW anymore but this is the same person that was still whining about WWE a year ago and tried to get back in with them while still working for another company. I wouldn't be surprised if he deliberately tried to get fired just to get there sooner. For all the words he says it seems like they actually hold very little. If he shows up on Raw talking about how he couldn't wait to come back and he always loved it here, I'll laugh.

My issue is this seemingly will interfere with Gunther going forward. Prior to Punk I think Gunther was the favorite to win the rumble and challenge Rollins.

I can’t believe that many people in WWE have their panties in a bunch over Punk being back. Like going as far as saying Triple H could lose their trust is just ridiculous. Punk hasn’t even done anything & he’s already being blamed for things
If Punks first feud is with Rollins, punk doing something to Seth that allows Priest to cash in on him would add more fire to their potential match.
I know Stone Cold came back for one match only last year, but now with Punk back, I would love to see Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. CM Punk at Wrestlemania, they would tear the whole house down, it was a dream match a lot of people wanted to see, but I doubt Austin would come back for one more.
I'm just very surprised learning that impact is still around.
It would be hilarious if all these years later, someone pulls a Punk and walks out because theyre fed up and had their Wrestlemania spot taken by some old part timer coming back... ;)

Few things. Yes it makes Punk look like a hypocrite, yes it looks bad on Tony Khan a bit but this is by far the most exciting thing in wrestling
CM Punk is back in WWE and that sounds surreal. I preferred the First Dance debut because that felt actually impossible, CM Punk returns to wrestling. This WWE return was more surprising on the day but we kind of had a feeling it would happen eventually since they was the only place that could afford him outside AEW.
As for what he did. He seemed like he made it clear he was a Raw star. He is going to be on Raw on Monday. I don’t know what’s going to happen. I think you have to build up Punk vs Rollins for the Rumble, have Punk win and then drop it to Rumble winner LA Knight at WrestleMaina (Cody moves to Smackdown and finishes the story). Or have him feud with Gunther for the belt instead. Punk vs Gunther at WrestleMaina for the belt sounds so exciting to me

With McIntyre feuding with Rollins for the title, and recently turning heel. I wonder if McIntyre was originally scheduled to defeat Rollins for the title at Mania (or anytime before), but with CM Punk returning, maybe now McIntyre has lost his stop and title reign. Which would explain why McIntyre is frustrated, even if he doesn't havr any issues with Punk.
