I can’t do stuff like 18:06 (the ohs and the do you really love). If you have time would you be able to do another video on singing like this please? 2 years later maybe you have more insight 🤘
My dude! This is moooost useful guide and your videos are awesome. I am baritone and it is so impossible for me but I felt first results finally after this video with my mixed voice ❤❤
You are the best reaaaly helpful if i could i would give a 10000 likes Thx alot man reaaaaly helped with my singing i was reallly strugling with singing 30stm thinking how hard it would be to figure him out and youve helped me alot thx again 🙏
Can you do a video specifically on thickening the mask? I feel that's the biggest difference between making mixed voice go from whimpy to extremely impressive, but I personally am finding it very hard to make chestier. Great demonstration though, it's exciting all the possibilities.
Yes of course! Yes basically we need to start to blend in some chest resonance into our mask to give it a fuller, more powerful tone, then when we put some fry on top of this we can achieve a tone that sounds super difficult and loud but it becomes quite easy in time.
I've been following a handful of vocal coaches for some time now and I felt I was hitting a wall , on songs from bands such as Linkin Park and 30STM. Songs like The Kill, Attack, Given Up, Breaking the Habit.. I thought they were just impossible for me, I couldn't even last half of the song, trying to reach for some high notes with distortion. The frustrating thing is that I knew for a fact those notes were perfectly within my range, I could prove it singing acappella. During the actual song, I started to tense up a lot, reaching for the notes and didn't understand what I was doing wrong despite all the advice I could find online. Especially "Given Up", I couldn't even get the first 2 choruses, let alone the other one after the big 17 sec scream. After watching a few of your videos, especially this one, something clicked yesterday. I went through all those problematic songs and managed to sing them without even feeling that much tired! They were not perfect, but that's breath support I still have to work on, but man, what a difference! I thought this particular sound , so thin, sounded so bad that I was just like "nah, this can't be it", but after watching this, applying extra compression, it sounds good and it will sound better as a I develop this mixed voice. I was putting too much effort, using too much air, just trying to blast through it and actually, I need to do the exact opposite. Thank you !
Of course! Glad to help! Yes and once you can hit the notes clean and thin easily that’s when you can add more chest and distortion to make the tone more pleasant! Keep at it!
I took 6 years of course so I have some kind of control I'm just now learning how to make that rasp with my voice and that I know also that how I sound isn't how I really sound so you have to cover your ears to hear how you really sound or just wear soundproof headphones that way you know how you really sound because without covering your ears you don't know how you really sound when you cover your ears that's how you really sound
Great video. I do have a question, tho. In a beautiful lie most screams sound somewhat like these, but there are a couple that always made me a little curious; in battle of one there are some screams where jared pretty much sounds like an hairdryer. I can't listen now, but i believe that they are pitched, but you can't "feel" the pitch. Could you give me some insight on those?
Ok i think i got all of it Step 1: become spongebob Step 2: fry scream Step 3: LOOOOOK IN MY EYEEEES YOU'RE KILLIN' ME KILLING MEEEEEE AAAALLL IIII WAAANTEEEED WAAAAAAS YYYOOOOOOOOOOOUUUU (good video even though im far from being able to sing but i tried my best 😅)
wish you have checked the older stuff from him , but i have a question that i wanted to ask u. in this live session do u think its the same style as twenty one pilots scream? i mean is it achievable with fry based you said in your videos. ruclips.net/video/jOz72r-NVDQ/видео.html
Yes, you can hear that the sound he is making would not be very loud without the mic. It is the same fry technique as Tyler Joseph it is just mostly vocal fry and very little vocal tone
@@lemandoeslogic2261 really amazing , im making that small fry noise but definitely hard to keep that fry noise when singing louder.... ur video helped alot ! thank u

@@Da.swaggermaista keep going!! But yes develop mask, learn to fry, add chest resonance over time.
So... to sing like Jared Leto, i first must be taking a poop. Only THEN will I achieve this sound.
