- After multiple Grammy nominations, JID is back with his third studio album, ‘The Forever Story’. This follow-up album to 'The Never Story' features artists like Lil Wayne, 21 Savage, Lil Durk, Ari Lennox, Thundercat, and more.
JID gives Ebro a tour of his grandparent's house in Atlanta, GA, and shares how that land made him who he is today. ‘The Forever Story’ pays homage to JID’s future in music, the importance of family, and how they've helped him evolve into the man he has become. JID mentions including his father singing at his grandmother's funeral in the track “Kody Blu 31” and explains that passion is what his legacy is all about.

The backstory on Kody Blu 31 is just making the song 1000 times better, but the whole album in general ir so emotionally amazing, truly blessed experience

@@juliobaracat6590 I was just about to say, that one hit was with Imagine Dragons for the Arcane series, but I wouldn't be surprised if people internationally still knew somewhat of him. Though I still definitely agree in the sense that with the right few songs in terms of mass appeal, he might get put in the top tiers of GOAT convo for his generation and quite possibly era.

You can hear in the music how much he loves his family and how much they mean to him but it’s completely different to see him interact with them. It’s like watching his heart beating outside of his chest. This was a beautiful interview. I can’t wait to see how he’ll bring these stories to life on tour.

been puting people on JID ever since Never.....shocked at how many young people around here never even heard of him...some didn't even know Cole....and i stay in Macon Georgia....about an hour away from Atl...but when they hear JID they lose it...we got to start talking to our youth more....radio and most media outlets stuck on the most popular or viral.....or what ever they choose to feed u ....thanx JID ....u make Georgians and real hiphop headz everywhere proud....beautiful family....don't know bout yall but... This album is very VERY special. Time will show that more and more. Very strong first impression on this project but I can't wait to live with this one for years. This WILL be considered a classic in 5 years or so.

I went to visit my fam in Covington, GA and saw my grandpa's house in bad shape. We used to own the whole lot and slowly overtime we lost it piece by piece as the owners passed away. Seeing JID do this was very powerful for me as it illustrates this full circle moment. Truly inspiring. I look to do the same for my fam one day. This was dope!

This is so amazing. Seeing his Mother and Father reminds me of my family. When his mom said that they spoke greatness over their children, that touched my heart. My grandma used turns of phrase like that when she was still around. You can feel the love like his dad said, you should feel it. Love of your family is a powerful thing.

Dude, everytime I am shocked by his low streaming numbers... Most artists get a hit song and the new fans have no previous discography to discover. JID is the COMPLETE opposite, if he gets the big break people will discover a legendary catalogue of music, this will cement him in the hip hop history for sure.
