My first JiD album and I gotta say it was enjoyable. Very great projects this year, BUT, not necessarily enjoyable projects. Some are super amazing like a Lupe and Kendrick's, but not necessarily vibers like this project or Vinyl Days. Anyway, nice job JiD!
Relisten to durks verse on the album. Just think about how different that beat is compared to everything he does right now. I couldn't believe my ears tbh. I've listened to all the main albums this year multiple times and no album has created a stronger reaction on me than this one right here. Every song on here is fucking incredible (maybe besides "Just In Time", but it's still an amazing song). I feel like Crack Sandwich beat at the beiginning sound like "1985" by J cole
Melt my Eyez , Forever Story ,2000 Vinyl days holy shit best year for my ears
if you guys didn’t know, the closer to the album was supposed to be a song called “2007”. they couldn’t get the sample cleared, but you can still find the song. would’ve been an absolutely beautiful ending to the album
There is an extended version with the track now
This is the first jid album I’ve ever listened to. Listening to this project has def made me curious about his older albums
You definitely won’t be disappointed if you check them out.
Love you guys!! Love your content!! Love JID ❤️💙
perfect album, 10/10, his beat album
did anyone notice that he recreated the never story album cover with this new project,it’s a great project
Amazing album so glad to see JID get better and better
It’s album of the year by a mile, its the best put together rap music album I’ve heard in years!!!
We need a Cheat Codes review. That one and JID have brought the 🔥🔥 the last few weeks. AOTY contenders for sure!
Melt My Eyez still clears
HAVE to review cheat codes. Its also skipless in my opinion and its probably my aoty if not then denzels and i havent listened to JIDs enough to fully digest it
Yes! Cheat codes is getting slept on
AOTY for me fs, listened to it like 5 times at work today, im obsessed
So far this is a decent 9 for me. Fucking wild. May even hit the 10. Very catchy and fun to listen to the lyrics.
Album of the year 100%
Raydar/Kody Blu is so good.
Album of the year so far is Roc Marciano and The Alchemist The Elephant Man's Bones followed by Black Thought and Dangermouse Cheat Codes. JID The Forever Story would be in the top 5 AOTY so far for sure
This album was so dope definitely one of his best projects. JID if going to one of the ones up at the top definitely the forever story is my Album of the year it's so good 🔥🔥🔥
This album is perfect
It's my #4 of the year just barely behind Conway, Lupe, and Denzel.
Idk I might have this ahead of Lupe and Zel and Lupes my favorite OAT
Lupe crazy lyrical but his sound sounds pale in comparison to jid
@@tahapunisher yeah thats always been my problem with lup he just sounds kind of bland, he might be the best lyricist of all time tho.
Thanks for tha video
How did you not rate this perfect?
17:52 the voice crack!!!!! Love it
It's the album of the year 🔥
nfr with the verification badge👀
My brother and I have a unspoken competition where we show each other up by introducing new rappers to the other. I'm really pissed he showed JID to me a while ago, cause I haven't topped him since
and before anyone says JID aint new, keep in mind we are both in our 40s, and finding "new" music that we can resonate with is more difficult than I'd like to admit.
if there were a big 3 of the 2020s JID definitely on that list
JID and Saba AOTY so far Denzel very close runner up
Also so bittersweet having two kenny mason features and no verse
The album was incredible🔥🔥🔥 An aoty contender for sure.
Raydar = Control pt. 2
NGL this is either best if not second best album of the year
I love JID
I'm sorry but the production is perfect
JID is still way too underated
I have to give this another listen but the album is really good I won't say AOY yet but pretty good project I really dislike fans saying AOY right off like it's very good but MM&BS is AOY I think jid album imo is second best hip-hop album release but people have their opinions but the biggest night in music will decide AOY and you'll have some that say the grammys is nothing yeah they make mistakes on nominations and giving awards but they're still the accolade 90 100% of music artists want on their resumes no matter what some might say great album from jid but im sticking with MM&BS as AOY people just handed that accolade out this yr like it's candy lol like jid album is new calm down smh.
Album of the year hands down
I feel like the production was perfect
