    Love your videos. They are factual in nature and give options which are welcome. They don't always sell product but they do build the brand.

    Can I use the Commander bushing in a Government slide. I want to cut windows in the slide and the long bushing is a little in the way.

      Yes, you can. It should give you no issues.

    Do you ever get any feedback on the mil spec bushing, is it better than most factory bushings especially with the commander style

    • @fusionfirearms
      @fusionfirearms  Год назад

      They are the same other than tolerance, the mil spec and match. The match will just take you more time fitting generally. The match bushing has more material for fitting on sloppy pistol slides.

    I just purchased a mainspring housing+mag well from you. Installed but the grip safety won't go all the way out, hammer will fall without depressing the beaver tail when pulling the trigger what's going on?

    • @fusionfirearms
      @fusionfirearms  3 года назад

      You need to check for any interference that is hanging up the grip safety. I would suggest look and see if the grip safety is rubbing on the MSH top, or, you need to check sear spring for tension. Consult a gunsmith or call in for tech help.

    Which bushings will fit the RIA Tac Ultra .45 FS?

    • @fusionfirearms
      @fusionfirearms  Год назад +1

      First check and see if it is setup with a bull barrel or you have a bushing barrel, Then if you need a bushing our Mil spec Government bushings will work with no fitting. If you want to fit use our Match bushings. If you need help contact our customer services.

    Yes, I as a gunsmith say a gunsmith hand fit barrel bushing is mandatory for advanced shooters. New shooters, occasional shooters, and even low to moderate shooters don’t need this at all. If you’re anal retentive, or a pro shooter then you need a match hand fit bushing. I prefer Evolution Gun Works for barrel bushings as they offer a variety.
    If you cannot do this on your own and you have no gunsmith or maybe he smells like Bigfoot or whiskey all the time you can get a Briley barrel bushing where the outside is drop in fit and the inside is a perfect fit sphere that makes 100% contact with the barrel at all times and pivots. Just find out the exact diameter of that exact barrel’s muzzle. Use a Verneer scale (placed about 1/8” back from the muzzle and write the numbers down. Call Briley, and they will be able to help you (they know what the numbers mean) out however For about 7 times the cost, but they will be able to help you out, and you will be the only guy in your county with a Briley 100% contact barrel bushing and everyone will be in awe and you can say things lie I shoot so good I had to do this....

      Yes, good information. For that 1% out there that want to spend 7X more and spend at least that much time fitting and fussing, you are correct. For most folks, this just plows a bunch of cost into there project that they will never use.

      @@fusionfirearms I have to admit, every pistol I build I use a hand fit match oversized bushing in it. Honestly the customer of a custom M1911-A1 demands and I feel deserves it. I have in my possession a barrel bushing from a stock Springfield Champion and the darn thing needs a wrench to install and remov however the inner race is MASSIVE. Something like .62 if I recall. You could stick a any barrel in there and literally read things through the gap! No wonder the guy couldn’t his a damn thing. I always mean to throw it out and always forget to.

    I think a vice & sandpaper would do for a match grade.

    What are your thoughts on bull barrels not requiring barrel bushings?

    • @fusionfirearms
      @fusionfirearms  3 года назад

      Look at our other barrel videos, there is a place for all barrel types but it is dependent on what you are trying to accomplish for the end result. We will post another video on this also.

    Worst presentor very cinfusing way of speaking. Speech not organized try having notes in front or outline discombobulated at best. Listen to yourself man

      I would add if you did not get every word spoken you are in fact in the minority. I for one found out that there is no real need to spend the extra time and labor unless you enjoy tinkering ( that means you like working on things).He also mentions that gun smith version is for folks that shoot for competition or have special equipment. No notes required for Bob , he lives and breaths Gun smithing (that means he has world class training and is consider an expert in the field). His delivery is clear and easily understood by any person with an IQ above 50. I would recommend if you are confused by this video you not attempt working on any firearm. I think (for your self preservation) perhaps you should not attempt to load a fire arm. I would ask you to be very careful when attempting to flush a toilet (without your notes) alone. Lastly ,what exactly is "cinfusing" you had to override spell check or ignore that little red line that appears when you mess up. There is a cinfusing video explaining how that works. It is my genuine hope a little clarification has help you to see you were a little hard on Bob and that maybe you should seek a hobby a little less cerebral, like diffusing munitions in Cambodia or Afghanistan?
