I played this course within a few days of you guys. I played the day it rained, and Savannah made reference to the greens being softer than usual so I’m assuming this was shortly after. They said it had last rained 200 days before, so it narrows it down a lot. Beautiful course. Like you, I birdied the first par 3 on the second par 3 ended up in the same spot as you, chunked my chip, and also made a double bogey. That’s where the similarities of our rounds ends. I didn’t adjust to the higher altitude than Texas and while I drove the ball great and never missed a fairway. I hit very few greens. It’s a beautiful course, Savannah is a beautiful person, and I enjoyed this video.
I will be in St George for the Wednesday PGATour session and playing some coral canyon Thursday morning, before life has to happen and I have to get back to it. Thanks to your videos, I'm feeling pretty good about that Thursday morning coral canyon round. Will be my first time.
