Hola John...totalmente un referente para tratar de hacer algo como lo haces tu...gracias por compartir, eres un verdadero crack. saludos desde Madrid España 🇪🇸..
John, I love the piece and it doesn't matter what the critics have to say (from your email). You have a dedicated group of us that love your work and the risks you take to give us inspiration! Please keep them coming!!!!
Lynda Zamora I was thinking that exactly how could I cut my tape off like that with cutting into whatever material that I’m using I feel like I would cut all the way n just made a stencil by accident lol
Paint layer are thoo thick when he use the exacto he obviously cut true the tape but since he use a lot of layers of paint did not cut through the canvas. You are welcome
seriously, I even thought: he's gonna bust the canvas and then will be doing something completely off the chain here =)

Wouldn't it had made more sense to remove the other tape and then paint over the old paint with black and then remove the letter tape? Now he's got msking tape underneath the black.
Love your videos and art! Does it not break your heart to cover up so much of that beautiful painting with black? Knowing what's under the black and getting only a hint of the colours is nerve-racking! Beautiful! Much love from Canada!
What type of masking tape do you use? My tape either bleeds out or is so tacky it peels the under painting. Can’t seem to find the right tape.. and I’ve tried many.
Hello, your work is fantastic, I wanted to ask you what is the name of the adhesive tape you use? I have used several but when removing it, take the painting with it, thanks, greetings from Colombia
J'adore votre style d'artiste. J'aimerais beaucoup vous avoir comme professeur. Vous devez continuer vos créations. Je suis une FAN de vos peintures. Toutes vos créations sont extraordinaires. Bravo, bravo et encore bravo.

@@jaderene hi, do you know what paint he is using for dripping technique, because I made the same but I mix acrylic paint with water and throw on my paper and after drying it takes texture effect and it was not smooth surface in finish look, thanks
@@saminaishtiaq7888 I do apologize for the late response, John used Amsterdam Acrylic Paints, mixed with regular water, but you can also use a fluid acrylic medium that will allow for the paint to flow more easily, if you’re able to google and search for pouring mediums, I brand that I have used is Liquitex Pouring Medium! This should help you! If you have anymore questions, I would be happy to answer them!
@@jaderene thanks🌹yes this helps me. I will Google about it and try to find it in my near by store. And once again thanks. And will contact you in future I feel I am stuck.
I think this painting is one of my favorite. As I watch I wonder if you have a finished piece in your head. Or is it a process that just develops as you create? I look at the canvas and my mind blanks. I need to learn to stop thinking so much about form and concrete ides.
I love your art and would love if you could be a mentor from a distance. You have help open the artistic part of my brain and gave me a hobby that also works as therapy for me!!! Keep up the amazing work!!
Awesome video. Very relaxing to watch! How did you cut the tape on the canvas i would be afriad to cut right through the entire canvas and ruin it all.
Well, perhaps practice on a smaller canvas to see which cutting tool works best then move to a bigger canvas. Always start small to test it out first. My only concern is what type of canvas? I am thinking the smooth one. What do you think?
@@hollyt1673 I was also thinking that since the canvas is already painted underneath the stencil that this will create a thick enough layer to not cut the canvas. I guess your right as far as trying this on a small canvas. Only one way to find out. Lol
You have to be very careful not to cut the canvas, but if you don't press too hard it's fine. The canvas is not paper ;) It is better to pass several times gently than once too hard....
queria saber como conseguiu cortar a fita sem cortar a tela. deve ser uma fita muito boa pq ela nao tira a tinta q estava em baixo também. se puder me dizer o nome dessa fita eu agradeço.
Can someone please please please tell me how in the heck to cut the masking tape without cutting right into the canvas??!! I love this piece so much and would love to try something similar. Big fan of your channel and love watching all your videos to get inspiration ;)
@Lauren Chambers don’t apply to much pressure to the canvas, take your time while cutting out the stencil/shape, use short soft cuts instead of hard ones
Hi John, I love and watch your videos. Keep the good work and hope that you and family are all safe. On this one, I wanted to ask you what kind/brand of masking tape you used and how long you waited before removing it to reveal the lettering. Thanks in advance for your kind response.

John this piece is simply amazing. Because I paint I rarely want to own anyone else's work but this one ..... this one I would like to own.
Sometimes I have tears in my eyes while watching your videos. Thank you for inspiring.
One of my favorite pieces of art by John. I keep coming back to watch it.
This method is very good for those who are not as proficient at graffiti drawing. This is very inspiring.

C’est super joli, j’adore le rendu !
Watching the tape being pealed is right up there for a satisfaction video all by itself! 🤩
This man is a genius i mean you can't look away!
La magie opère toujours avec John ! C'est juste féerique. Quel plaisir de découvrir vos œuvres chaque semaine
What is written in this art? Please explain in English. Really mesmerizing art 🎨😍🤩
Srishti Verma check the title. It tells you there. Even at the end around 10:10 on the left it tells you. 🤦🏻♂️
I’d be so afraid of going right through the canvas with that xacto knife! Good work

@ He removed the excess tape before painting black - no masking tape left behind.
That first part reminded me of Bob Ross with his brush.

There's something about spray paint that makes an abstract painting, just that more abstract. Wonderful job john.
The peeling part is always a delight.

Amazing workkk!!! Can you please tell me wha tbrand of black color did u use for the backround?
What type of masking tape do you use? My tape either bleeds out or is so tacky it peels the under painting. Can’t seem to find the right tape.. and I’ve tried many.
I'm asking myself the same. The tapes I've use always bleed out...
Low tack tape as used by painters and decorators would do the trick.
Mewtu 51 have you heard of ‘frog tape’?
@@MultiBikerboy1 Not til now. Is it good tape to use? (Not sure if it's even available in my country 😅)
Mewtu 51 yep...doesn’t bleed...gives clean line. Amazon do it.
Hey john, have you ever painted a spray can? I think your style would look awesome on a spray can !
Your work has inspired me to reach out to my more abstract side . thank you for the beautiful art and inspiration
It's was an awesome artwork there. I was wondering what exactly type of paint that you used in creating those splat effects?
Yes I also want to know, if anyone know kindly tell us
Very cool! Always wondered how the grafitti artists created such pieces. This gives a taste of it.
