I feel Robert's pain. I averaged 225 my last season before my knee gave out. Had to quit after 21 years of bowling. I was lucky enough to bowl 2 pba events. I bowled tqr in Dublin, CA at Earl Anthony's house. I had 2 meh games of 195 189. Then I turned around after talking to my friend. He was paired on my lanes with me. He told me, dude, your bowling bad. I said thanks what would you do? He said move in deep and rip it like maximum Bob. I said ok. I moved in deeper then anyone was playing at the time. I shot 289. After my last shot Robert Smith was standing behind me watching with Jessie Buss and Bill O'Neil. Out of all the people I knew in the crowd Robert said good game.i said I got it from you. Robert Smith was and will always be my favorite bowler.

Would be nice to see Maximum Bob make a PBA comeback. I had the pleasure of bowling against him at a PBA regional even many years ago. It's one thing to watch him on TV, watching him in person was worth the entry fee itself.

I heard that he’s going to try the PBA50 when he’s old enough

Thanks for the upload on this. I always felt like the PBA dropped the ball on this one. If they really wanted the ULTIMATE Scoring Challenge, they should've had Taylor Lanes lane maintanence put out THEIR house shot with THEIR lane machine and THEIR oil. Every center has unique characteristics and idiosyncrasies that their particular house condition is developed around over time and constantly tweaked to let their bowlers think they're so good (I had to do it for 20+ years...). If they really wanted to show the world how much easier a house condition is and just let the pros bomb 'em, that would've worked out much better!

Good to see maximum Bob back in 2024, giving it another go and doing RUclips videos for Hammer/Brunswick! This is sort of a portal to the past, and we get to know how these guys end up 16 years later

46:00 That would have been an unconventional 6-7-10 split pickup had the 7-pin stood. Possibly even a Big Four conversion. :)

It was supposed to be a variation of a house shot

Appreciate the re-uploads. One small suggestion if you don't mind, maybe leave the scores out instead of putting them in description just so it wouldn't spoil the results for those who haven't watched it?
