Yeah I turned it off! The black hole Liebour go on about was of their own making! They claim the Tories didn’t have a plan to stop the illegal migrants. lol they stopped Rwanda! They closed the barge. They want more and more illegal boats as it means they have more votes (short term) as, as soon as Muslims get in power. Adolf Starmer will be voted out! And gone will be our Christian country and values. Then watch the vile woke lefties come crying to the “Far right” it’s sickening how doomed this country is.
Like I was an Economist at the BOE. All I hear is about advice from the OBR and other Quangos. Who is in charge of policy The Government or Quangos? EV's will make us more dependant on China and their EV's are combusting.
Why buy an overpriced EV, no resale value, that's without having to drive longer than 200 miles, your going have to sit around for hours waiting it to charge again, stupid
More BS from someone that has never driven or owned one. The only element of truth is that they are still too expensive to buy. The rest is utter tosh! I love the bit about not being able to charge at home, do they all have their own petrol stations then?
@ with the advent of wind turbines and solar along with the move from coal to gas that’s not true, it’s more like power that has to be paid for from unreliable and intermittent sources!
Robber reeves wasnt as she claims a financial consultant at a bank she was in the bank complaints department, her latter experience might assist labour in its continuing series of blunders and corruption.
Potholes are not being filled as all part of the plan to eliminate cars all together. Cyclists suffer just as much as most potholes are close to the edge of the road.
The 2035 move did not change the requirements for ICE/EV quotas to 2030. Add to that the depreciation of EVs and expect a lot of old ICE vehicles continuing to be used into the future. Perhaps parts manufacturers and service departments will be the only ones in the Motor industry to be making money.
I said a long time ago regarding E.V's. They are going to be eventually taxed. Look at it if 1 million E.V's are on the road that is mega millions of pounds NOT going to the treasury.
The minor roads near me have be re tarmaced and didn't need it, yet the narrow A road near me is in a state. When you drive it you are more concerned with avoiding the pot holes than other cars.
I thought the budget was about our economy etc not to use it as an excuse to have another dig at the opposition like they do at every opportunity as they can't seem to separate the two.
An electric car does NOT make sense, have you seen what happens when the battery packs spontaneously combust? Even a minor accident can easily compromise the batteries and there is a requirement to store damaged EVs well away from other vehicles and buildings. The cost of electricity for EVs is set to rise dramatically, as your guest correctly suggests. EVs are going to cost a fortune, the government will be enforcing restricted mobility, we'll all have to stay at home!!
If your suspension or any other part of your vehicle is damaged because of a pothole make a claim against your council. They will quickly fill it in when you do so make sure you take photos as proof with proof of date also.
You can save money 😂😂😂 until you need to replace batteries 😂 I recently drove from Kyiv Ukraine to Kosice Slovakia 863km = 553 miles approx averaging 5ltr per 100 km = 56mpg in an old Mondeo diesel 🎉🎉 could not do that in electric The car 2004 so has served many years and if something breaks it can be replaced with secondhand refurbished parts so even more economical, tell me where I can buy a usable used Tesla battery 😂😂😂
Evs are a niche product. They work if you have off street parking, the right electric tariff and you don't go far from home. Having solar panels on your roof helps, but the sun is not reliable. They are expensive to buy, insurance can be more expensive, parts and technicians up to speed for Chinese vehicles are difficult to source or find. Repairs of the drive system are very expensive due to specially trained technicians and facilities being required, although repairs to non electrical parts eg brakes, suspension etc will be the same as ICE vehicles. They work for some but not many.
Regarding EV - PLEASE NOTE WELL -- in America, after the tornado storms creating electric power outages - ONLY DIESEL/PETROL VEHICLES WERE ABLE TO OPERATE!!!! NO EV AMBULANCES, EV RESUE VEHICLES , NO EV FIRE TENDERS ETC.!!! ,
@Daisy-tl2lh - Had not known that! - A little off track, but here in England was caught in the floods of 2007 and number ONE need was for COMMUNICATION, WATER AND ONGOING INFORMATION! But due to the enormous amounts of phone calls, both landlines where possible and iPhone - all communication was impossible. Given the rising waters and being housebound alone, fortunately in a gated community, it was nothing short of terrifying inasmuch as not knowing how dangerous it was going to be. So, lesson 1, CLEAR, UPDATED COMMUNICATION IS EVERYTHING - NO. 2 FRESH WATER! 3 POWER, BATTERY ESPECIALLY, WARM CLOTHING AND DECENT FOOD. - FRESH WATER BECAME A PRIORITY BUT UNBELIEVABLY - PEOPLE TRAVELLED FROM OTHER TOWNS WHERE THEY COULD INTO MY HOME TOWN AND BOUGHT UP ALL THE BOTTLED WATER FROM STORES!!!! The reason being, the Water Bausers (large tanks) supplied for emergency use - vandals peed in them as a prank!!!! So, protecting them is essential!
She's mad Starmer look very 3rd rate hasnt she? She should have raised the lower tax rate threshold. Buy a good diesel and ignore the government nonsense.
Labour normally get back into power after the Conservatives have fixed the finances and there's money in the piggy bank to spend. Unfortunately for Labour the finances are still in a mess and there's no money. They'll quickly find out what balancing the books means but doubt they'll achieve it.
The majority of EVs are 'company cars', bought because of all the incentives and tax-breaks offered by the Government. Most are charged on company premises at the company's expense. Those cars are largely driven by senior company personnel, who not only get numerous other company 'expenses' but will often also be able to claim a number of home expenses/costs against their tax bills. They will likely live in larger homes with 'off road' parking, where they can have a home charger. The pothole situation has got worse because most councils now farm out the repairs to contractors instead of their own works department. Contractors frequently make sub-standard repairs, knowing they'll be coming back to repair the same hole within a couple of years. They are milking the councils!
electric cars too expensive to buy , too expensive to run, unreliable, battery changes cost £5000 every couple of years and now they will pay road tax, if you charge them at home you cannot rely on having a regular power supply, people will not buy them and those who did now regret it. as for the new heating systems they don't work and are not efficient again people will not buy and install them. solar power is a myth and rarely meets expectations, wind turbines are not as claimed green, they use fossil fuels to make them and do not provide constant electricity and have to be turned off during high winds, when are politicians going to be held account for the lies they tell.
and some insurance companies are now requiring EV owners to park their vehicle outside and atleast 12 meters from both their own property and any neighbour, this is to protect the insurance company from having to pay for a house or houses if the EV spontaneously combusts in your garage
You don't change the battery every couple of years, where did you hear that? And it would be more than 5K, probably 10-15K. Politicians tell lies all the time, we have to make sure that we have knowledge to call their fallacies out!
Even though I do agree with what a lot of people say about the electric cars I can't have one has a live in the 2nd floor of a flat so impossible for me to charge.. Not counting the size of new power stations (that won't be electric ran) to deal with all the new electric usage... But it does make me wonder we are treating this in the same way people felt about cars and other petrol vehicles in the turn of the century when everyone either relied on horse power or boat for work and transport (other then steam train) I am sure the same talk about not enough petrol stations.
It's really not that much of a hassle to have an electric car. I don't normally share personal circumstances, but I will on this occasion: I'm in a rented accommodation with no off-street parking, and I've gotten the green light from my Landlord, my neighbours and the local council to get an box installed near enough to the road, and I have a fitter ready to do the work and provide me with a rubber mat to lay across the pavement so I can safely charge my car. To charge my car locally from 20% - 90% it costs £25. You can barely half fill a 3-door diesel hatchback for that kind of money. And, yet, I can charge my car twice in a month and still pay about the same or marginally less than I would to fuel a diesel once, and that's playing the will-it-won't-it game with the fuel needle. Plus, they're more comfortable and more spacious in most cases. The apps aren't that bad once you remember to click "Charge" on the app. The most inconvenient thing about owning an electric car in a suburban location is how long it can take to charge. 30-60 minutes. At night, it can take 4-7 hours, but you pay *****£4*****. That's a bit of a false economy as the saving isn't recouped for about 3 years after the outlay to get it installed, but these cars are likely not to have their first service until around about then, if not after. So, I see what's being said, but I do actually use one in under the circumstance that is being outlined, and I have to say: not that big a problem. THE ROAD TAX HOWEVER??? Bloody criminals. 3-door diesel hatchback? £20. Electric? £190. They push net zero, you go net zero, they punish you. Thieving bar stewards.
One assumes all local and national government vehicles are EVs - lead by example and all that... 😂 I don't see a plan for all the used car batteries that will be around in a few years time. Nor do I see a plan to strengthen tens of thousands of multistorey car parks that are not safe to take EVs on upper floors because they are much heavier than normal cars. Don't forget the extra fire safety measures needed in car parks for EVs. EV rollout is a disaster.
You can't resell your EV, did you know that? due to the batteries I believe. You can't even trade them in. Expensive doorstops is all they are. And how do they account for this claimed £22bn black hole? where is it from? they haven't because they can't tell you where it is from becasuse they don't know, they just pulled it out of a hat. The magical hat at Labourwarts School of BS said so.
don't you mean WEF and UN disaster as it's their playbook trying to force people off the roads, nothing to do with brexit, the german auto market just crashed overnight with VW axing 10's of thousands of jobs closign 3 factories and requring remaining staff to take a 10% pay cut, 3 other manufacturers moving factories to asia citing too much taxation and energy bills more than 400% higher than asia to profitabably run in europe anymore, so our problems have nothing to do with brexit when the EU is clearly falling apart due the scam known as net zero
I cannot watch this circus because that's what it is.
I agree, I have better things to do!!
The clowns in it are not funny though
I started listening to the budget, I couldn’t stand listening to the lies that fall from reeves mouth

How can this people that have never created anything in their lives and only got 20 per cent of the vote make all this decisions for the country😱😱😱😱
Why buy an overpriced EV, no resale value, that's without having to drive longer than 200 miles, your going have to sit around for hours waiting it to charge again, stupid
would they produce a solor powered car? no of course not when they can make so much money from petrol and diesel
Not hours , get a fast charge in 30-45 mins.
& getting 200 miles for £3 isn’t bad really.
Volkswagon just announced massive layoffs due to terrible sales.
Ford have acknowledged the same.
The best ev's were milk floats and that was 60 yrs ago .

How can someone living in a congested city centre free for all park anywhere street charge a EV outside their house ?
*Coal powered cars.
Why pretend electric is anything else?
Gas, but agree with your point!
There are no coal powered stations in the UK, its 42% biomass (burning wood) Then mostly gas.
@@abergreg Burning wood...you know, forests.
Most home charged cars are charged at night when no one is using power that has to be generated 24/7 .

Two of my high flying friends boasted about owning an EV for a couple of months, they are both driving Petrol cars now.
It costs nearly £1000 to have a special outside plug fitted to the wall of the house.
If electric vehicles were as good as the government would have us believe then people would buy them and buy them without inducements or subsidies.
Looking at starmer no expressions sitting slumped in the seating area he didnt look like The prime minister of uk what a mess ......
More tax to pay to keep the dingy rats in hotels all nice warm n cosy while the homeless, ex vets and elderly got cold.
Potholes are not being filled as all part of the plan to eliminate cars all together. Cyclists suffer just as much as most potholes are close to the edge of the road.
True that. And we now have miles of pristine cycle lanes that nobody uses. A total farce.
Potholes and more potholes. UK is a complete hole.
All part of 15 minute cities and covid-style lock-downs to keep you at home
Nobody can save money when an EV has 80 percent depreciation in year one.
The residual values of EVs are appalling!
The clown party will be out of power soon..............
Not for 10 years possibly
Starmer as welcome as a fart in a spacesuit 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Net zero electric car bull 💩.
Build back broken
The problem with Electric Cars is we do NO have the infrastructure or sufficient Electricity Supply to charge them if we ALL have them.
And not enough electricity if they insist on renewables.
That’s the idea. Ration everything, make it difficult, keep the plebs off the road
yep they keep overcharging for electric so why would anyone use electric cars .
Electricity costs carbon too. But batteries require rare earth materials
Milliband will go down in history as the man who ruined England
GBE is GREAT BIG EXPENSE
Sounds very similar to Build Back Better, which amounted to nothing
To impoverish us all
Not true! There are loads of EVs on autotrader, no one is buying them although they are massively discounted
Another first for the UK a Budget given by a Chancellor who worked as the Bank of England Tea Lady don't you just love DEI
What a bell comment!
There’s loads of EVs on the second hand market , ffs nobody wants them … Just wait until the truth comes out about the damage ev’s cause ….
