- Many people have tried to beat Mario Kart, and many people have tried to beat two games at one time, but what if we tried to do both.. But in a way no one's ever done before? This might be one of the weirdest challenges I've ever done.

this video is hands-down some of the best storytelling and editing i have *ever* seen on youtube, and i was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire watch. huge props to cozy and rays for this one! 👏

I started this thinking "Oh he has the steering assist on, this is going to be too easy" but no that did not play out
I really love the way you storytell in these silly challenge videos.
I have not even watched this video yet, but I think this might be my favorite one yet. This was one of my favorite things to watch live, and knowing the editors here things can only get better, can't wait to see what magic has been pulled this time!

I did something similar in my free time, but I used two joy cons with one set to player 1 and the other to player 2 and used tilt controls to steer each one separately

EDIT: 23:37 Yes, he does. Kind of wish he said something about it at the beginning. Although maybe the challenge is near impossible otherwise anyway.
He played for an hour without it and couldn't even get close to beating the mushroom cup. Characters getting desynced with smart steering is already problematic but without it it's an auto lose because desyncs spiral out of control and both characters just die over and over. At that point there isn't really much strategy or nuance to the challenge, it's just luck which is kinda boring. The special cup took him 4 hours so the amount of luck you'd need to get through while keeping both characters synced the entire time is likely near impossible.
Now do this with F-Zero GX...

Not gonna lie I stopped watching after I saw he had smart steering on. Maybe he turns it off later in the video so in that case, it’s on me.
It's impossible without smart steering. If you mess up or get hit the karts get desynced and you basically auto lose. You have to get lucky with CPU placements not getting hit or bumped avoiding off-road. The challenge would then just be "get lucky" which isn't a very entertaining video

He tried it for an hour before the challenge and couldnt even get close to finishing the mushroom cup. As soon as the characters get desynced by getting hit or bumped it's an auto lose, they drive off the track and it spirals out of control. It removes a lot of the depth and strategy of managing multiple characters and just makes it a luck based.
