Dougie I love these new videos any connection with Achallader at Loch tulla? As a scottish history enthusiast I am fascinated with Achallader Tower and its roll in the Glen Coe massacre. As well as having been to Gorton Bothy many times, I had spent a night in 60 bothies before my health took a turn. I still get out for a few nights in the forest which makes me come alive. I am a musician and since your 1991 release of Indigenous I was hook. I have met you through the years and over the last 2 years you have been an insperation. Thankyou Dougie and to the woman you could not do anything without, your lovely Jenny. x
Thankyou ! yes it's a shame to lose such a beautiful piece of architectural history although pleased it has been so well deconstructed and returned to nature.. you know
There are those that would say that the Cambells' karma was earned at Glencoe. Regardless, a sad end to a lovely building. Thanks for sharing the neighborhood, Dougie.
Tragic to destroy a building for the sake of paying rates, so moving to see the abandoned graveyard and to happen so swiftly in our lifetime! It is a nice balance against the concrete takeover everywhere else I guess 🤔
Thanks Dougie. So many great childhood memories of these hillsides.
Such a shame, that was a magnificent building. Thanks for all the footage and your knowledge 🙏
