Love you guys at KBB! Thumbed up the video especially because of the ending "self-parking" segment 😂
I’m a simple man, I see daddy Micah, I hit “like”
Daddy Micah 😍😍 😂😂🤣🤣
Volvo has never been this good before the Chinese taking ownership and yes XC40 is now manufactured in China as well #MadeInChina2025 🇨🇳
A really nice little car. Easy to live with. Still among the best within its class~~
Love whenever I randomly stumble into Micah
Can't wait for the EV version of this to come out.
Yes, my brother Micah!! I love the XC40 styling and interior.
Been watching KBB vids for a while. Should've said a while ago but Micah, you're the best!
I've had mine for 5 months and I do get around 26 MPG but I drive it in Eco Mode mostly and there's a lot of coasting...
Thomas Biddle how do you like it?
@@mtrujillo92 I wish it got a little better mileage and the tech is a challenge to learn at first, but other than that I love the car. Smooth ride, good power, nice leather seats, great in snow (I'm in CO), the shift knob is fine despite the complaints you hear about. It's the nicest car I've ever owned.
Did you get used to the big c-pillar? How was the touchscreen? Did it get horribly dirty?
Even if it does, Volvo gives you a microfiber cloth to clean it.
@@AdrianC12345 They don’t give you the cloth anymore. It comes with one of the packages, or you can pay 20$ for it 😅
With all those options, might as well have gotten an Inscription!
Did you not mind that you couldn't turn off the doors locking automatically when the car starts to move? Did you not mind that you couldn't permanently turn off the auto-start/stop function? Did you not mind lacking physical buttons for climate controls? Did you not mind the drive-mode roller button (which I find finicky, often slipping, and which ought to be on the steering wheel)? Did you have no troubles with the capless gas filler? Did you like the instrument panel? Did this have a spare wheel/tire?
Concede on door lock, i can turn off auto stop/start permanently. I'm ok with using display for climate controls, most cars have moved to that system. Don't mind drive mode roller, No problems with capless gas filler , like the instrument panel and yes it has a spare.
Could you elaborate on the inconsistent engine performance? Also, heated seats and steering wheel in Southern California? It's November and you are wearing a t-shirt.
I'm sure that he's referring to the inconsistent shifting that the engine does -- common on all new Volvos nowadays, though the ones lacking superchargers are more smooth.

It’s*
Please do a long term test of the new Mazda CX-30 when it comes out!!
Which is more reliable mazda or volvo
The MPG not being consisten with the EPA rating is disappointing.
it's pretty classic Volvo for the current gen unfortunately
Or maybe they drive it too hard all the time......I get 38mpg from my s60 t5
Harrison Smith You have one? I would LOVE one but I’m worried about relaibility and the ride. Is it harsh?
This is the content I’m here for. 😊☺️😁
Love it.!
I know it's comparing apple with orange but a 2015 Mazda 5, a mini minivan with 3row seats and 1/4 of price used gets 27mpg consistently. I can use less technology and maintenance / repair down the road by sacrificing some horse power and luxury.
Nice video and happy thanksgiving!😸😸
Regardless of how this Volvo did,we all know a Honda will the best in its class next year...Am I right KBB? 👀
Smooth Operator Toyota and McLaren are not bad too
What Honda model you thinking of?? Surely not the CR-V with the 1.5L having fuel dilution issues?? Seems that engine for Honda is a BUST!! bleh...
biz4two biz4 I know it’s a bust,I being sarcastic on how KBB always votes Honda’s to be #1 year after year after year which is becoming hilarious almost like Honda is paying them.
@@penvon ... Oh, I see. YES, Honda's have lost a lot in the reliability factor since about 2016'ish or so. Hope they can figure it out. lol
Does anyone know how they are holding up reliability wise ? I was looking the the s90 as my next car instead of an Audi or Mercedes and they are so cheap slightly used . It seems like it would be a smart move . Just a little worried why they dropped so much if it’s going to be a headache with stuff failing lol
i have a 2019 xc40. just passed the 30.000 mile warranty period. never had any major repairs during the almost 2 yr ownership. just regular 10k interval tune ups that were covered under warranty.
Don't buy mercedes or audi unreliable nor land rover get a mazda for reliable or a Subaru
S90 made in China
We have a volvo 2019 xc40 and they are crap. At 12000 miles the rotors had to be replaced because the car would shake when braking and now the transmission is jumpy when shifting and the engine light is on and it only has 21000 miles!
Its because of the cheap made in China parts.
gixxer 750 they’re made in Belgium
What are the dashboard materials like? Good quality?
soft touch only. not leather wrapped
Excited for the XC40 all electric that's coming out soon
What color is the car in this video? Is this glacier silver?
Anyone have any issues ? What’s the reliability like ?
The ending is the best.
I just could never deal with that shifter. Electronic shifters are fine. But make their action sensible.
Yes, tremendous fail for Volvo. I suspect that this alone is costing them thousands of annual sales.
I got used to the shifter immediately. It's not a problem or inconvenience of any kind. Those who complain about it don't actually use one in daily driving.
Thomas Biddle Glad it’s not a problem for you. I guess I just have trouble wrapping my brain around why they would do that when they literally could’ve done anything else. In every other car it takes one action to put it in gear whether it’s a button, joystick, or regular shifter. It doesn’t seem logical to me from a design perspective, but like you said, you’d probably just get accustomed to it.
@@danielc3321 I understand your logic, but after nearly six months, it feels like everyone is making a problem out of something that's not.
I actually really like the shifter. I don't understand what all the fuss is about.
I love Micah!
Is the Volvo XC90 a reliable vehicle for over 100,000 miles?
no... if it can go over 200k miles, then yes
Most European brands are not known for the appliance-like reliability of the Japanese. More costly to repair as well. You buy Europeans for style and status; you buy Japanese for reliability and lower cost of ownership long term.
?? You said Power folding seats ??
Hey that was the LBC!
Tim & Micah being bougie in a Volvo... #qualitycontent
How can I trust someone who drinks Starbucks?
After 1 year that's all you've got to share? That could have been learned in 1 week. 'We learned a lot.. for a whole year' - please share a lot then!?
*In other words don't buy this thing. In today's time everyone go for reliability and dependability over everything else, unless you're a driver's enthusiast.*
Lol. The ending
8000 miles with no repairs? A Volvo? Lies, I say! LIES!
um ok so where is the content...
If I want under a 300 mile range, I will just buy an EV. That is really horrible.
Wait, was this a Starbucks AD?
way over priced too much $$$$$ .. for brand that suffers the reputation of unreliability. and deep value depreciation ..
Mostly true I'm afraid. The deep value depreciation comes, of course, from the unreliability. So sad.
At $44,315, this is grossly overpriced. You can get an Audi Q3 or a VW Arteon for far less. I will definitely not be buying one of these.
Scott Ferris VW is cheap and most dealers are dumps and the Q3 is nice but not XC40 nice.
Overpriced seriously?
Better get a Model Y then 🤷♂️
Overpriced,y the people wanna buy this! Go for Santa Fe less money more warranty and loaded with advance
nill rai The Santa Fe is a cheap SUV. It’s kit super nice and the dealers suck.
I drove the 2019 Santa Fe and it was not nice to drive. I preferred the Volvo's driving experience.
Chinese stigma.
Congrats being first here’s the dunce hat not go sit back in your corner
You guys are crap get a real driver like me I'm putting over 50000 plus a year you did nine that's not a test that's a test drive
You seem kinda like a jerk. So, no.
Frank Castle Most people drive 12,000 miles
@Leah Ann Mitchell I got a long commute road construction makes it 3 hour round-trip everyday
First comment- and I like the car!!
