Larry, i have lived here in Bagong Ilog for 11 years now and the poorest of the poor is what i always admire so much! each and everyday the have to struggle just to eat, But they never stop smiling!! I wish i could help everyone of them But you know and i know that can never happen! But i can still love them all the time!!! And i do!!!
I love these wonderful beautiful adorable people, ""in poverty conditions they immaculate, clean, spotless, and I feel 'approachable', and also beautiful,
Thanks for the share of this video... My wife's cousins, uncles, aunts and a few others live in Floodway...the bridge you went over was very familiar to me. The first time there was an awakening for me. The people there are so kind and friendly... I can't wait to go back again soon! We visit there when we go from USA to Manila, and while we wait for our flight to her island for the next day, we visit her relatives in Floodway, Pasig and other areas there.
It's amazing what people will accept when they don't know of a better life. One the other side of the coin, someone who has experienced wealth and comfort will suffer untold when they loose everything and find themselves in a slump like this. It's more than being grateful for the little we have. It's enjoying the little things in your life.
Larry thanks for sharing I enjoy the walk with you to the Philippines I've talked to Betty Filipinos over there they're always so happy regardless how poor they are they always got to smile on their face God bless them 🙏
I meet my wife in the Philippines on a rural area like this. I love how they stick with authentic culturr and how intelligent the woman are. Now my wife is here in America and working as a USRN. One thing about my wife is she never forgets where she came from and always willing to help the people back home.
Spanish went to these people island and changed their whole way of life, to build a concrete jungles with their peso’s the native peoples of the Philippines was doing fine before the Europeans came 😢

Very interesting. I found it interesting that the friendly greeting was two words in English … “walking tour”… meaning no harm just passing through and looking around. I am surmising no electricity .. no running water … and no toilets. Very harsh but the people look sweet and happy. Very eye opening walking tour. Thanks!

Thank you Larry. Strangely enough, we never hear about the plight of the Pinoy's on main stream media, yet they seem to be very willing to come to the west to work hard, obey the law and assimilate. Bless them.
I'm glad I wasn't too heartbroken watching this. They look like they're doing the best they can with what they've got. Looks like it would be really rough for them during storms.
Salamat sa video! Dapat doble ingat ka mahirap ang walking tour na ginagawa mo, sobrang sikip ng mga kalye at mahirap kung di mo alam ang papasukan mo na kalye at dapat may kasama ka.
Hello Larry kamusta? I hope all is well there, It is good you show videos on the situation there with each passing year Philippines is building herself up. The people in Philippines are always in high spirits they deeply believe in God, And work hard for long hours. They dont cry and complain about working conditions, they are just happy to be earning money, To help feed their families and keep the lights on.

I've been to the poor areas of Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Philippines......they are the nicest and friendliest people. They share what little they have and will help anyone; meanwhile. in Canada, I've met some of the richest people and they are rude and wouldn't share with anyone.
yeah call me crazy but the place actually looks nice the peopel all smiling regardless of poverty , doesnt appear money is an issue here their priorites are probably better than most people..quite refreshing tbh..id love to go there and id have a feeling id love this place
Yeah mate, Philippines is great. I just went around Europe and barely spoke to another person in a whole month. In the Philippines people treat you like a friend. There really is a difference.
Thanks for this video. I lived & worked in Manila for a few years. Filipinos are very nice people, but the government doesn’t seem to do much to lift people out of poverty. Philippines is a member of ASEAN & the government should ask Singapore how they developed the country. In the late 1950’s the Singapore government got rid of slums & built high rise apartments. This construction program over the decades created jobs for many people. People who previously lived in the slums were given priority to buy the apartments. Slums have a health & safety problem- a fire can burn down a whole barangay & kill people. They must be replaced. God bless the people of Philippines. Best wishes from Australia 🇦🇺
There are people living in misery even in new york, travel to Central America and Mexico, all the same, Brazil, and all the South American countries, same situation, u don’t need to travel that far, 167 countries in this world.. give or take.. u gonna find misery in each one of them.. very sad indeed, nothing makes sense no more
Look how clean the ground is and the children are spotless! They very much are hard workers and take care of the family

often there's basic faucet water but it's not safe, brownish too.
"Don't Worry Be Happy." is a way of telling someone to stop focusing on what's wrong with their life and to see the positives instead.
Looks much safer, and a little cleaner than some parts of Minneapolis.
The Philippines is 100x safer than any major city in America
Wow, getting to wake up everyday and play fallout with these graphics
Life is still hard everywhere, thank for sharing.
Insightful. Also, roughly 75% of Earth's people live similarly - still worlds cleaner and friendlier than L A, SF, Portland etc
