Visited the monument yesterday and it is Grand as ever. Trip up is $3 but free for veterans. Not for the claustrophobic or acrophobic. The view was so good I walked around the top twice. Down below a bunch of people were protesting some war in the middle east. The monument as for people who fought for our country on our shores and waters. The sculptures on the building are inspiring.
I stayed with my Aunt and Uncle in Patricksburg, Indiana (Owen County)in 1979 and again in 1987,they have both passed, but I'm sure my uncle Harry Fulk was aware that the Limestone came from Spencer, Indiana.
