Thanks for review. Frustrating that one of the settings on the top of the screen is always flashing, but not at the same frequency as the BPM setting. I'll probably put a piece of painter's tape across the top of the LCD.
Thanks for posting this very usefull instruction video, just bought mine this week, and the manual is uselless, it tells you next to nothing. Thanks to you I could manage to operate the device without any problems. It’s a great metronome for the money, but the sound is a bit terrible, but doable. I hope the next time they will upgrade it with a sound selection as well, like a woodblock tone as well. Other than that Best buy for the money, plenty of options. Dunno how long it lasts tho.😊
I have one of those, and really like it. Can you please explain what changes when you press the 2 arrows together and get or remove the metronome icon from the screen. The instructions (which viewers may be interested to know just about need a microscope to read btw) say that changes the tempo steps, but I'm not noticing anything different on the screen. (But then I don't know where to look...)
@@kellercentralpercussion you don't have to scroll One Beat at a time if you keep your finger on the Arrow it will automatically scroll up to whatever number you want
No. You're stuck with two pitches of chirp. You can set it to 0 beats per measure for a lower pitch on every beat, or 1 for a high pitch on every beat. For anything above 1 the high pitch becomes the beat 1 accent.
The beeps do not sound nice. The TM-60 sounds better. That one has a tick/tock instead of this beeping sound. But this MA-2 is less than half the price of MA-60.
Jesus, the pitch is horrendous - it's so cutting to my ears. You can hear the compression kicking in on your recording haha. I'll try plugging it in to a little speaker. I've just picked this up - the manual was equally horrendous but the functionality is pretty good so can't complain too much for the money.
Just bought it, but I hate the sound, like wtf super high pitch like I'm going crazy :D I need to find one with a better sound; I highly don't recommand this trash shiet
This is not a review. It is a video for my students to show them "How to Operate" the metronome so they can use it when they practice. You are welcome to form your own opinions about the metronome- I'm just showing how it works.
This instruction video was very helpfull to me, the manual that came with the device sucks, and doesn't make a link of sense, unlike this fantastic video.
Your video is more useful than either the manual or Korg's own video for the MA-2. Thanks for sharing, man!
Thank you for sharing how to use this metronome as I just purchased one. The volume wheel wheel helped a lot with the annoying beep.
The pikachu and eevee version of this metronome look amazing, one of the nicest looking digital metronomes.
Because looks are everything with a metronome....😃
I don't remember saying they were :)
Appreciate the video. My metronome plays the downbeat softly and subsequent beats much louder. Any idea how to change that?

Does it do the swung subdivision?

I finally noticed what that does: the tempo changes by 1 or 4.
@@jimbrownza Wow. Thanks! I didn't even notice that feature myself, and was getting a little tired of scrolling up by 1 bpm at a time.
Coming from someone who's used one, can you save the BPM's into banks? Ie make a set list of BPM's?
@@kellercentralpercussion you don't have to scroll One Beat at a time if you keep your finger on the Arrow it will automatically scroll up to whatever number you want
@@Ana_crusis Yes, but that step can be set to go up in 1's or 4's depending on if the metronome icon is there or not
does it have a stand? what kind of batteries does it use?
don't buy, the sound is awefull
Yes it has a stand and uses 2x AAA penlite batteries.
How to insert batteries? I know where the batteries should go, but I can't open the slot.
After hours of trouble I got my batteries inserted.
Just one thumb on each (back ) side and push it gently up, and then the battery compartment will open. Hope this helps
I had to hook a mini usb speaker to it. Now it's great.
agree, but I don't understand why they put this high pitch horrible sound
@@ShuXamR It's terrible
can you change the voice on the metronome from chirp to tick tock or other sounds?

@@kellercentralpercussion that's too bad. This is a very unpleasant tone to practice with.
Thanks!
I was hoping to buy a BPM measuring device.
I got a BPM metronome generating device.
What can I try next for measuring BPM?
What is the cosy of mettonme
The blue or red version of this metronome can be found online for $20-30. The special Pikachu edition was a little more because of its rarity.
Thanks good video hate reading tiny print manuals

ah maan thx, I was becaming crazy with this beep sound, will try the TM-60
Thank you!!!
I still prefer my old clockwork one

Why an earth can't it just replicate a traditional click.
That bleep is awful.
