2 years later. Still hits the same
I remember seeing this in 7th grade and being amazed
Alex is my drum teacher now
weird question but where is he teaching you
@@FridgeLyrics Rock Mill studio why
@@Sensei_beans i used to go there and he was my teacher too
Best of luck this season!
Matched Grip Warriors!!!
Wow. Good job yall!
Thanks!
Thank you for sharing how to use this metronome as I just purchased one. The volume wheel wheel helped a lot with the annoying beep.
Why is it with so many metronomes, they miss that we need to clip it firmly on the guitar or keyboard as a top priority - doesn't matter if it has features to print money if it's not easy to use while you play.
Appreciate the video. My metronome plays the downbeat softly and subsequent beats much louder. Any idea how to change that?
In measure 13 and 14 I think those are supposed to be stick clicks Correct me if I’m wrong, I’m playing this for solos this year
5:00
Jesus, the pitch is horrendous - it's so cutting to my ears. You can hear the compression kicking in on your recording haha. I'll try plugging it in to a little speaker. I've just picked this up - the manual was equally horrendous but the functionality is pretty good so can't complain too much for the money.
Thanks for posting this very usefull instruction video, just bought mine this week, and the manual is uselless, it tells you next to nothing. Thanks to you I could manage to operate the device without any problems. It’s a great metronome for the money, but the sound is a bit terrible, but doable. I hope the next time they will upgrade it with a sound selection as well, like a woodblock tone as well. Other than that Best buy for the money, plenty of options. Dunno how long it lasts tho.😊
The sound is very annoying.
That’s a lot of big xylophones
Those are mostly marimbas
First
Does it do the swung subdivision?
Just bought it, but I hate the sound, like wtf super high pitch like I'm going crazy :D I need to find one with a better sound; I highly don't recommand this trash shiet
I was hoping to buy a BPM measuring device. I got a BPM metronome generating device. What can I try next for measuring BPM?
How to insert batteries? I know where the batteries should go, but I can't open the slot. After hours of trouble I got my batteries inserted.
Just one thumb on each (back ) side and push it gently up, and then the battery compartment will open. Hope this helps
Thank you. This is very helpful.
I guess mine is broken because when I press the start/stop button it changes to 120 and no sound except once when I push it. Help?
Just change the battery
does it have a stand? what kind of batteries does it use?
don't buy, the sound is awefull
Yes it has a stand and uses 2x AAA penlite batteries.
awesome tutorial. thank you.
Thanks for review. Frustrating that one of the settings on the top of the screen is always flashing, but not at the same frequency as the BPM setting. I'll probably put a piece of painter's tape across the top of the LCD.
Thank you!!!
Your video is more useful than either the manual or Korg's own video for the MA-2. Thanks for sharing, man!
I had to hook a mini usb speaker to it. Now it's great.
agree, but I don't understand why they put this high pitch horrible sound
@@ShuXamR It's terrible
Why an earth can't it just replicate a traditional click. That bleep is awful.
I’m still learning 😢
Does this let you have a silent measure followed by a measure with a beep?
The beeps do not sound nice. The TM-60 sounds better. That one has a tick/tock instead of this beeping sound. But this MA-2 is less than half the price of MA-60.
ah maan thx, I was becaming crazy with this beep sound, will try the TM-60
Nice! I've got a Korg for my violin case but want this for my bass case. Cool review!!
The display is really hard to read and instructions lousy. How do you set the time signature you want?
The pikachu and eevee version of this metronome look amazing, one of the nicest looking digital metronomes.
Because looks are everything with a metronome....😃
I don't remember saying they were :)
It's unreal, we have ALL this modern technology, make a great metronome like this one with great features, but they don't put a SAMPLE in there of a nice sounding wood block or clave or something? They can't include a more tolerable sound? When you listen to a metronome for HOURS and HOURS every day for WEEKS and WEEKS practicing something, the damned wrist watch alarm sound really doesn't cut it. I think these companies can do better. Obviously nobody designing these has actually practiced FOR REAL knowing how long one would have to tolerate these annoying beeps. Even those Seiko metronomes and the Matrix metronomes at least have a tolerable sound that's not annoying. Too bad, looks like a great metronome too. ~JSV
Could not agree more. How have we regressed from the clean, audible "blap" sound of the 1980s/90s Seiko dial metronomes? I don't get why people are okay with these shrill chirping things.
@@batlin Totally. I guess the 'chirp' sound is sort-of ok if it's on a pocket metronome or something you keep in your case if you may practice on the fly somewhere, maybe, but I seriously don't think people that REALLY practice often with a metronome are putting up with that sound (maybe a few?). Those aren't typically sold to full-time practitioners--they can't be, and in the music shops we sold almost all the 'chirpy' sound ones to younger students and beginners etc, but real musicians almost always had either an analog w/a pendulum or a high quality more expensive electronic w/a block sound. I actually have a small collection of electric and battery metronomes. I have a quirky-thing for them lol! My fav's are my two vintage TUBE metronomes (yes, TUBE metronomes!). I have a couple battery op' Japanese designs that are nice, including a Seiko, but I collect those because they ALL have a very tolerable sound and some are very agreeable. They're closer to wood block clicks. But again I can't believe with all the technology they put into these things they can't get ONE pleasant sounding sample as a click. Who the F** is designing these things?! ~JSV
@@jsv438 vacuum tube metronomes?? Now that sounds like it should have a whole video dedicated to the topic :) I have an old clockwork thing metronome too but prefer the old dial types. Might pick up a Seiko SQ50. Very odd indeed that most shops only seem to sell the chirpy pocket tuners or bulky mechanical metronomes...
Hello. Thank you for this demo. Regarding the unit's odd time capability...the ads say that it can handle 17 beats per measure....but will it actually work for, e.g., 17/16, where the feel is often that of a 4/4 bar minus one sixteenth? Any info you might have would be appreciated!
Beautiful
Amazing!

This came in clutch, thanks.
Thanks good video hate reading tiny print manuals
Muito bom, pena que só fala inglês.
Si no hablo español
ca you put a link to the sheet music in the comments
can you change the voice on the metronome from chirp to tick tock or other sounds?
No. You're stuck with two pitches of chirp. You can set it to 0 beats per measure for a lower pitch on every beat, or 1 for a high pitch on every beat. For anything above 1 the high pitch becomes the beat 1 accent.
@@kellercentralpercussion that's too bad. This is a very unpleasant tone to practice with.
Dices it have a timer ?

Poor review
This is not a review. It is a video for my students to show them "How to Operate" the metronome so they can use it when they practice. You are welcome to form your own opinions about the metronome- I'm just showing how it works.
Poor response.
This instruction video was very helpfull to me, the manual that came with the device sucks, and doesn't make a link of sense, unlike this fantastic video.
