I wasn't looking for anything like this but now I'm intrigued. It sounds good, I like simple and for £7 it's worth a shot. Somebody already borrowed my salami joke but that reversed sample sounded like you were in Twin Peaks Black Lodge. Cheers Doug.
Hoping to have seen the Dummies Guide to making samples. As in I can't record the sample. Issue being it tells me to 'load Salome in an effect slot to record incoming sound (currently loaded as an instrument). Does this require a separate program running or is there a button im missing to set load Salome to Effects?
MPE feature is interesting. So if I play this using MPE player like Geoshred in AUM, will it respond to x-axis slide for pitch bend? Or x-axis slide is limited inside this app only?
it would be great if it had a sample root key finder or sometype of tuner to make sure set a one shot instrument sample on what ever key, also sometype of time stretch so it doesn't sound bad when playing a instrument sample on a lower or higher oct !!
@@EdwardAlexander-ABF yes but thats not the same thing, because thats is a manual option, meaning you have to do it by ears, what im taking about is more like a guitar tuner that let you know in what key is the actual sample, or an auto root finder which sets the sample on the right key, like for example if the sample is on f sharp, the auto key finder sets the sample automatically on the right key, so when the user plays the instrument it won't be off key with other auv3 instruments, specially for those user that don't have the ears to tune the sample manually,,, hopefully it makes sense because i know my english grammar is bad because spanish is my official main language!!
Err no. When playing polyphonically I get hung notes but not in one shot mode. To stop it I hit the panic button. I thought perhaps I wasn’t using it properly.
All this mention of simplicity when you need to run it through another app as an effect in order to simply record a new sample into the thing using your iPad or iPhone’s microphone. Samplr can do that. Koala can do that. Why not Salome? If you want to use this standalone, it’s crippled.
Every thing from Bram Bos is brilliant. Nice vid !
Keep on the good work.
I just got this after this video
Love the simplicity, grabbing this one for sure.
I just grabbed this. It is great for using a latched sample as a drone to solo over too!
Great demo, Doug! This looks like a really cool one!

This looks like a ton of fun! Thank you!
A really interesting sampler from Bram Bos. I'll give it a try.
A time stretch mode would do it for me
Excellent work as always!

What DAW are you running Salome in?
Not bad. Has a lot of potential
nice little beast… next we could imagine some sample mangling stuff ? ^^
You say Salome I say Salami.
It’s definitely not called Salami
😂

Worth taking a punt… though I doubt I need another sampler 🤷🏽♂️ 😂
Hey thank you for the video looks great but quick question? because i dont see it on the description, does it multi-sample ?
Hi, no it doesn’t.
@@synthwidow7431 I guess it’s a fast way of sampling things cool!!!

Looks like there is in fact a “TUNE” knob right there on the right hand side of the screen.

Am I the only one getting regular hung notes when playing via an external keyboard.
