@@VerothRexor I did it on my 2nd try, got on the roof without alerting them, and killed almost all without being seen with bombs, I had to kill only about 15-20 bullets. I played on hard difficulty and it wasn't hard at all. I failed my first try only because I fell into water and got out but the freaks couldn't get out and the game doesn't allow bullets to travel in water. Pipe bombs worked in water but I didn't have enough and was forced to reload.
I think TLoU has it beat in terms of story, but the gameplay in Days Gone is miles ahead. Big hordes are the closest any zombie game has felt like a real outbreak
@@necfreon6259In graphics yes, but in gameplay, definitely not. Days Gone, being an open world, can interact with countless things, can carry many more strategies, can climb many things, can search for equipment in dozens of interactable and accessible buildings, etc. Tlou2 gameplay is summarized in going from point A to point B, killing a group of enemies in a moderately open area, and that's it. In days Gone you have hordes, you have bounty hunter missions, you have enemy camps, you have nests, etc. As much as Tlou2 has incredible gore and can crawl, Days Gone has many more possibilities.

I loved getting a platinum on this game! Completely underrated! Sam Witwer is the man! I love that someone else loved ending the last horde freaker with a melee 😂! Great video!
Taking out that horde at the beginning was the best use of surroundings I've ever seen. And I've watched a LOT of videos! Played it a lot also! I go for the stealth kill mostly, but it rarely works, so using the environment is critical in harder levels like you just did! Great job man!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing planning!!!!!!!
I love how there are multiple ways to take down hordes. You can do stuff like this-preparing the battlefield before engaging, planning to canalize the horde into tight spaces, and then giving them hell-but other strategies are still functional. I like riding in on my bike, unloading all the explosives I’ve got, laying on some hate and discontent with a machine gun, and then running away to rinse and repeat once they’ve lost interest. It works, it’s safe, but it’s slow.
When you get the rapid fire guns and learn how to maneuver around hordes they become so much easier. Also, Sony please make a Days Gone sequel I love this game.
That’s the smoothest SawMill ‘run’ run ive ever seen. Also never seen the roller door buckle before under the weight of the horde or seen the roller tables dropped. Cool as a cucumber player skills 😀😀😀
You can stop by the saw mill horde early and take out a bunch before the final attack on them. Just fire from far away so they chase then run away. Rinse and repeat
The first time I found the “lobert draw ridge” horde, I was just roaming around with nothing better to do. I found a Nero checkpoint and started to look around when I found 300 swarmers just absolutely chillin in a tunnel, took me like 15 minutes to clear it out.
hordes are easy, stock up on attractors, grenades, molotovs, find a bush to hide in, throw attractor, wait, throw grenade, rinse and repeat, dont throw your last grenade or Deec will stand up, then switch to attractor bombs, throw it then molotov = dead horde 😂and it works with every horde. I seen so many struggle with sawmill horde. Just cut all speakers at nero camp except for 1 at the entrance, hide in nearby bush after you turn on the generator, the horde will almost always come to that speaker crowding the place. start throwing everything you got but for the last throwable (deacon for some reason stands up when you throw the last item in the stack, the horde will spot you) if you do it right you killed like 90% alrdy 😂😂
You really deserve a tag of ''The Master of Horde-killer"....man you killed all of em so smoothly that it looks so easy....even though it isn't....i still have not killed a single horde yet(like i didn't even tried coz of fear) and i am already at 3rd camp(iron mike)...
By the time I arrived at that part of the story, I had already completely wiped out the sawmill horde. I just got there, walked around and called boozer. I didn't know it was a story horde so I wondered why I didn't get the Horde story increase when I first cleared it. It made sense later.
This is a pulse-pounding video. I'm at 91 BPM just sitting on the edge of my seat. Its just nuts how great this game is. We want a sequel. Meanwhile Sony buys a studio, makes a game, and blows it all up in less than 24 months. What the people want is here, Sony.
For some reason they never bunched up like this in my game, they always spread out and came at me from multiple directions. The only way to get them together was to use attractors. Maybe because I was playing the PC version? They also seem to move faster, like their default running speed is close to Deacon's sprint speed.
I started playing this 8 days ago . I'm playing 13 hours straight each day . I'm loving this game too much . I played The last of remastered and The last of us ll . Both really good , but Days Gone is a masterpiece !
I have been able to kill the iron butte horde the sawmill horde the chelmut one and the chelmut college horde. How?. You take a strategic building which is a little bit far from the horde position and you start firing even if you start firing from far the horde will not come to your position only a little few freakers will come to you. I use the mg45 as main gun and the ak47 as second gun i fire bullets after bullets not much of them you also fill the ammunition backpack in your bike x2 Times. So once you finish your ammo you can go back to your bike and refill your guns. For the sawmill horde i reccommend to use tricks as you know near sawmill buildings there is a nero camp dont destroy all the speakers leave one still working the one in front of the entrance of the camp. And put power to the machine to activate electricity and start running to the back of the sawmill buildings on the opposite way of the nero camp so you will not encounter directly the mass of freakers coming to the speakers position. Ok so once you are located at the back side of the horde position you start to go up on the roof of the second red building in south east and you approach to the last and third red building which is near the nero camp you go on the roof of that red building it has a hole in middle this building so once you arrived at that position you will see the horde going forward and back in the camp jumping like crazy people because they are focused on the speaker that is creating noises so from your position you will start firing the horde in front of you the ones who are inside the camp will not come to your position as they are focused on the speaker. At your west side you will see a bunch of freakers moving like lost people around the camp(outside) always at the western part of it. You kill them first as they are near the red building where you are. Once you killed them you kill the horde inside the camp one by one always from your position. Ok once you killed them also, You will need to go back in the second red building always on the roofs and you start to throw attractors and launching big molotovs bottle to kill the last remaining group of sawmill horde. Take notes that this process is long you will take 2 days game to finish each horde. Iron butte horde: the same strategy but instead of going to the roofs of buildings you will go in the eastern part leave the horde on your west side in eastern part you will see a big hill go to that hill and take position and start firing the horde which will be in front of you you will be' a little bit far from them so even if you fire the horde will not be able to reach your position as you are far from them. Do that in the early morning during the day time dont kill them in the night as the horde will be' able to reach you immediately. (Freakers dont like light) thats why they stay in places with few or absent light in caves inside wagoons etc. Chelmut horde kill them from the roofs of the white building in the eastern part of the road where you have the trucks on it which is a little bit near them kill them one by one from that building. The small groups of freakers near the building will come to your position kill them immediately after you eliminated that groups of freakers you will see in front of you the horde still on the same position you start firing them they will not come to you as you are far from them. Always park your bike near your strategic position always.
I’ve tried leaving a speaker on at the Nero camp for the sawmill horde but it always attracts breakers for me, so I just gave up that option. I just take them to the bridge over the water and that works for me. I put down proximity bombs and then just shoot the rest.

Sawmill horde is hard on low difficulty. Props to anyone on the hardest setting.
yep , i had 5 attempts at it in the beginning too wasteful with resources and the anxiety been chased stiffened my fingers on the controller and couldnt sprint or choose the right weapons on the wheel menu lol got a lot easier playing the game second time around
I found MT. Bailey horde very challenging. The number is high, and the environment is limited, at least for my play style as I like traps and environmental plays.
The colonel blew the whole area, so I have absolutely no set up 😂😂😂.
