Listening to the scythe is just like the meadows breath
I don't understand why people would dislike videos as simple as this, like he's doing exactly what the title says, WHAT DO YOU PEOPLE WANT?
Jaden K. Definitely not this

@@gottem125 Did you expect the man to go all anime style and slice through tall overgrown grass or something? I still don't get it
its something called dislike bots, they start appearing on the more popular videos like this and that is why it is virtually impossible to have a video at one million views without a single dislike
The dislikes are from people who sell lawnmower 😂

Hi
Use their weapon against them
The grass was taken by surprise
When i was a kid we had this weird scythe like thing i used in this field next to our house
You held it kinda like a golf club and the blade was positioned like an angled hoe blade, the blade was long and bladed on both sides
You didnt go in an arc. But swung it straight side to side with a gold club grip as you walked, it was one hell of a workout and very soothing at the same time
Yes, we used those to clear brush at a summer camp... I knew about regular scythes but had never seen one like that. It actually was pretty efficient on multi floral rose and other skinny brush.
@christanice yea i still haven't seen another since that one but man did it do wonders on Georgia under and overgrowth and scraggle brush
You're describing an old-school weedwhacker.

To whichever RUclips employee keeps recommending these random videos from years ago.
*thank you*
KingArthur you are complementing a machine learning algorithm
This is from 2017 what the fuck you mean
I know it’s a machine that recommends most of the videos but these types of random old videos seem to recommend to everyone I know and they have completely different recommendations normally. I seriously think that a RUclips employee puts a random video they like into everyone’s recommendations.
Right
@@kingarth0r It's all the algorithm. It reccomends certain videos regardless.

I moved into an old farm house a few years ago and found a couple of these in the old barn. I clicked on this to see how, and well, they worked. After watching this I think they'll probably just stay in the barn. Also I'm still learning to sharpen a knife well, its a master class to do one of these to be that efficient.

Awfully Awful ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I don’t have a lot of grass in my yard, so I don’t need to do much, but it’s still nice to learn things.
Just the fact that someone felt the urge to steal a lawn mower....
let them spend the extra money on the gas/petrol to run it and all the oil it takes to maintain it or that they get caught during their next larson! More power to the Scythe! Not to be critical but you did just see this old man kicking grass's (something that rhymes with grass)!
I mean, They must be spending too much on coffee makers and ended up being desperate on cutting grasses that they ended up stealing someones lawn mower, wth am I saying.
It's a thing. I moved into a new house but still own my old house. I went back to my old house 2 weeks later and found that my lawn mower was missing 🤦♂️
