Another Building Project with Pac-Man

We received the decking for the large dock on the farm pond from McCoy's Building Supply while I was out of town. The delivery driver from McCoys placed them exactly where I asked. However, I didn't realize I would need our adventure wagon the next morning. I had to move the palletized stack of 12 ft 2x8 boards late at night. No problem, I've got a 75 horsepower cab tractor. LOL. I forgot where I left my pallet forks.
Before we start working on the decking, we check the cattle, the donkeys, the goats, and, naturally, Pac-Man the ranch horse. He is spending more time with the goats than the donkeys lately. This may be where he is picking up some of his strange habits. Eve will have her calf any day. She was the first calf born on this ranch. I am looking forward to seeing the next generation. Who knows, we may expand the cattle operation again...
The large pond dock is on a frame 10' wide at the beginning of the walkway, spreading to 10' 3" after joining the next set of 2x6 boards to extend to 36' in length. I am decking it with 2x8 boards. This was the most cost effective option. Day 1, Pac-Man, Pilgor, and Corduroy arrived an hour after I started and considerably slowed progress. At one point, Esko had enough and ran to the house.
We have a McCoy's just 30 minutes from the ranch. I use them often, for nearly all of our projects, and have taken advantage of their delivery service. I’ll bet it’s beautiful up there. Looking forward to sharing Pac-Man’s progress. I think he’s going to be a great horse, not just a pest impeding progress on building projects. Happy New Year!
