Guys she didn't hold the last note too short, it has a staccato. What she DID do was rush the value the rest right before the last note. (I played this song in college that's how I know).

I totally enjoyed this. I don’t have a background in music theory and I don’t know each and every piece every little bit of it, but I thoroughly enjoyed it! I am amazed at how so many people like to critique.

There are two types of criticism: constructive and destructive. Constructive is when you point out how things could be improved (She got faster at the end and lost control). Destructive is when you write off some aspect of the performance with no explanation (The end was bloody awful). A performer should always be grateful for constructive criticism - after all that is what happens in a master class or between any teacher and pupil.

Love this work. It’s truly the exhilaration of childhood permitted to adults for working hard! Her handling of the middle section is perfectly dreamy, if a little rushed. But clearly and evenly articulating each arpeggio is an accomplishment that I find many people, even pianists, tend to trivialize. Scalar and arpeggiated compositions are deviously challenging to make right, though. Art that’s sublimely executed acquires the burnish of simplicity-only after much sweat of industry.

We get it, you took one year of music theory. And actually the arpeggios are the easiest part of the song.

popiepopie999 you don't necessarily have to speed it up a lot. I've heard a lot of people say that it's nice to play it at a light speed but a still dreamy way. I'm not an expert on the knowledge of this piece, but it's a fascinating to play!
