I think they've pretty much dropped all that. They haven't disavowed any of their "stories". They really don't use or need any of that "storyline" anymore except in retrospect. They should of changed name to LadyMetal, BabeMetal or something with change as well IMO.

I think that Amuse might be planning something. After all, Amuse considered ending BABYMETAL upon Yui's departure- Su and Moa pressed to continue. Could be something up their sleeve. So no need to change name... yet. I think, and many fans on various chat sites etcetera think so too, that Su will eventually go solo, especially if BABYMETAL starts to fade in popularity. Moa has said she'd like to be an actress. Perhaps they are waiting on that to make a name change. On another note: I always wondered about Yui till now, So much time has passed. The replacements are called "Avengers", for Yui's loss due to injury perhaps if one thinks about it. Finally recent pictures and witnesses at last concert (mostly pictures don't lie) showing brace under Yui's costume finally broke whatever hope I and other fans had for Yui's return as dancer. And broke my heart for Yui. Until I saw pictures of brace under costume I thought perhaps other conspiracy theories that abounded were possible. Or someone fiddled with pictures using Photoshop. But I modify pictures all the time, and picture of Yui with brace under costume looks real 😑 even to one that uses Photoshop and other applications all the time. If I had any wish in the world, it would be for Yui to be whole again and rejoin Su and Moa on stage under any name they want.
