i am trying to play the guitar transposition of this formidable piece and it is wonderful to hear the violin version played at a slightly slower tempo than a lot of violin virtuosos. This allows the chordal structure of the piece to be more defined, especially by such an accomplished violinist. Its very diffult to illustrate chords in the violin which involves double/triple stopping allied with exact tonal intonation of the arpeggios. Its very impressive.

The sound-man got a bit carried away with the positioning of the mics. It doesn't really need that much resonance to achieve that tone. It's just an inspired performance. I have been listening to this interpretation for several years now. I've listened to other really good ones. But Ms. Trotovsek has a special place in my heart. I'm still learning this piece (I'm an amateur guitarist) and this interpretation is extremely inspirational. I love you, Lana! Thank you for your great talent, passion and understanding of music!
