CB350 is so refined because it's dual counter balanced. Normal balancer shaft at the front and the gearbox shaft at the rear is also designed to act as a counter balancer. Also, it has a 4 valve head. Honda took the classic 70mm x 90mm bore stroke dimensions of RE Bullet and proved that high refinement, midrange power and revv ability can be achieved with this long stroke configuration. Honda truly is the master of (petrol) engine making : ) Since it's introduction in 1930's till 2021, 70-90 was the signature bore-stroke dimension of RE 350. But with the J series engine, RE ditched the formula, reduced the stroke and increased the bore to improve refinement. In this process, they totally lost the strong thump which previous generation RE's had.
if it's 4 valve then it would be making closer to 30 hp, this a 2 valve(big valves too) cuz the Honda engineers wanted them to be dead simple. The good news is that they're gon release a 500cc version in the future

In cities I'm getting around 36-38 and in highways we can easily get 40+ , also it will definitely depends on your riding style 😉
If u are staying in metro cities like Mumbai expect mileage to drop below 30, like 27-28. On the highway it's easy to get above 30
