YES, YES, YES!!! You can't go wrong with Elvis!!! More, more, more, PLEASE!!! Trying To Get To You, from 68 Comeback Special. 🔥🔥🔥 Just Pretend, from Vegas 1970🔥🔥🔥 Just a couple more of the over 700 songs he recorded!!
@@setonhillstudios 700+ songs, 31 feature films, 2 documentary films and 2 years in the US Army - all in about 23 years. It's just my opinion he worked himself to death. 😢Surprisingly, he only won 4 Grammy's, and they were all for his Gospel work.
That was Elvis' touring band, a Huge Entourage of people, including one of the greatest male gospel quartets of all time, The Imperials (a few years later replaced by J.D. Sumner and the Stamps) as well as the black female group The Sweet Inspirations (Whitney Houston's mom sang with them) and a few other singers including Kathy Westmoreland. An orchestra conducted by Joe Guercio, who also worked with The Beach Boys and later Elton John. And his buddies from the old Memphis days and some new ones. These were some fantastic musicians!
Amazing performance, and hats off to the band, they had to be ready to Vamp at any moment and extend the song based on how the King was feeling that night.
My mom is suffering from Vascular Dementia, at the age of 86. Having said that, every time Elvis is mentioned or she hears the KING, she clearly remembers him, the 3 concerts she went to, & that teenaged happiness that this man brought to her! Long live the King.
Alzheimer’s Dementia compromises the “left brain” where short term memory, logic & reason etc dwell. The “right brain”, however, is not compromised, where long term memory, smell, touch, love & affection dwell. And it’s where/how we can enjoy a spring day. The ability to enjoy music is located here. When the left brain is compromised the result is anxiety, frustration & challenging behaviors. Dementia in latin means “madness”. It’s fear. They don’t feel safe. When the LB is compromised we (the caretakers) must BE their LB. And we must use “right brain strategies” to counter the chaos, the anxiety, frustration challenging behaviors. Singing a favorite song from long ago (indeed her long term memory is still active) is a RB strategy. My mom had it. On her bad days I’d sing Happy Birthday. She would immediately start singing happy birthday. It’s familiar. Took her back to her to her childhood. The time when she truly felt safe. Protected by her mother & father.
Elvis did travel with his band(TCB), and backup singers. JD was an awesome bass singer for Elvis. His band consisted of James Burton, guitarist; Ronnie Tutt, drums; Jerry Schef, bass guitar; John Wilkinson, guitar; Glenn Hardin, pianist. These fellows hung in with Elvis until his death. Glenn may have left earlier. The band is awesome. The rehearsals are fun to watch. Thanks for sharing Elvis.
Elvis was an 8th degree Black Belt in Karate. A lot of his stances and movements are from his love of martial arts. He directed his band with his body movements and they watch him closely. He really was a master on stage. Check out the song “Polk Salad Annie” live. He’s wearing the same costume as in this video so it may be from the same concert.
It is from 1970 in Vegas when MGM filmed 6 performances & turned it into the very famous DVD entitled "That's The Way It Is." See the different jumpsuit @ very end -- he was in he Concho jumpsuit (silver circles) & @ very, very end it was the Chain jumpsuit w-brown leather tabs.

If u want to see what captivated the masses in early 1956, check out the first tv performances on Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey Show , especially Baby, Let’s Play House and Reddy Teddy. When he performed Hound Dog on the Ed Sullivan Show, he was already a master at commanding an audience. There are tapes available where it took him at least a 1/2 hour to try to sing. And when he did sing, you couldn’t hear one word .This has been officially documented. I mention these performances because I have seen Elvis in person every year from 1956-58, and from 1969-75. Am now 84 and the excitement and electricity he generated in those early years has never been duplicated! Fans that were not in the audience during those days have no comprehension of his explosiveness! I have always loved Elvis from the first time I saw him at 15. @@setonhillstudios Elvis was the most incredible stage performer for many reasons. But the best part may be that (1) when he flubbed a line he just sailed right along as if nothing happened (2) he would do unexpected things during a song -- change a few words or make a joke. You never knew what he was going to do -- & once he did something, he never repeated himself, never did the same thing 2ce. In 972, Greensboro, NC for the song "Burning Love," he stood on stage while holding the lyric sheet. He was not hesitant or ashamed to hold the sheet as he told the audience it was a new song & excuse him if he goofs it up. How many singers do you know who would be so natural & comfortable in a situation like that.
This was when people actually performed live-no lip synching. He was winded from all the dancing and movements, but he continued to sing. It's real. It's Elvis being Elvis and showing why he was/is so popular.
His catalog is about 800 songs. Everything from rhythm and blues, rock and roll, country, rock a Billy, pop and his favorite.. Gospel which he won three Grammys for. He’s in 4-5 Halls of fame. Thanks for ELVIS, ✔️ out Patch it up Baby and Just Pretend , two totally different genres, but he was the master and he commands the stage with just a simple gesture, none of his group knew what was going on with him , but you can see like in the song Polk Salad Annie Vegas, 1970, how his drummer just watches and waits for the next move , it's Pure Magic and Fire like no other artist ever , also please react to Elvis singing Bridge Over Trouble water im Vegas 1970, Stay with the MAN Among Men Elvis is forever and Always TCB 1935

Elvis actually produced all of his songs.try polk salad anny … Elvis getting down with it ! i also like fever… not much needed to get audience going. for the vibe: never been to spain and for some melted butter voice: love letters, i was the one, dont( rehesrsals are great too) i greet you and welcome you to the Elvis family from Switzerland. Elvis nickname was „crazy“😊
Elvis is the main man! For sure! Been a big fan for almost sixty years, & I never tire of watching this man perform or listening to him sing. Enjoyed you Reaction. Subbing for more Elvis Reactions. Thanks.
The "shove it up your nose" line wasn't actually one of the real lyrics. Elvis used to throw in funny lines sometimes. 😂 Elvis was known to be a huge practical joker even on stage.
He always had a band. What do you mean you've only seen him solo? He had Ronnie Tutt, a brilliant drummer. When he's doing the air pumping movement he was matching the drummer. He always orchestrates his band. Every head movement the move of his hand. Watch his fingers, he will put 3 or 4 to direct them.
Elvis had "hype" LONG before THIS!!! Starting in 1955 before he was famous. He tried Las Vegas during the early years... April 23 - May 9, 1956. Compared to the usual hysteria, Elvis has lukewarm acceptance for his two-week engagement at the New Frontier Hotel in Las Vegas. After years of being stuck in a contract for movie musicals, he did the 1968 TV special and the high ratings got him offers to play VEgas,so he did. His movie contract ran out and he was free to do tours, and Vegas. Frankly Elvis was not "Hype" at all, he was the real deal, period! Suspicious Minds was a huge hit that revived his career.
By the way when I saw him in Miami during this song he took off his macrame belt and began whipping his drummer Ronnie Tutt screaming at him “Faster, FASTER!!!!” He was incredible.
2:18 "So if an old friend I know (Shove it up your nose) drops by to say hello..." Elvis loves to stick jokes in to the lyrics. So far, not a single reactor out of about twenty that I have listened to has caught the part I put in parenthesis, but it's definitely there!!
Jane H commenting …. If you want more of Elvis dancing, Polk Salad Annie 1970 Las Vegas … One with a bit of shock value is Love Me Tender 1970 Las Vegas (plenty of action going on in this one) … Just Pretend 1970 Las Vegas is a beautiful song. Loved you reaction to Elvis. Looking forward to seeing more Elvis Reactions.
He was the most amazing performer there ever was or will be. He really put everything he had into his performances. He was a beautiful man with a beautiful heart. There will never be anyone like him.
The universe is better with Elvis having touched our lives. There's Elvis and then there's everyone else.....can I get an Amen? Elvis is Eternal 🤘🏽💯⚡❤️
He not only took his TCB and on the road, he also had an orchestra and both male and female back up groups. It was a full package of top quality musicians in his shows. Whitney Houston's mother is one of the back up singers (The Sweet Inspiration's).
That is your opinion only. Back when there was no RUclips or MTV, all we had was records and radio. Elvis was still the best. A lot of his movie music went on records. Unless you were lucky enough to see him live at his concerts. Which I wasn't. Never saw him live until You Tube. Love him live, but I'll listen to him any way I can. Some songs are better from the studio because you get the 'true' version of the song. Things that are not in it when it's live, or it's been sped up due to time limits of the show. But he didn't stray too far from studio.
This was during his Vegas residency. He was there from '69-'76. Such a beautiful man with a beautiful voice, but he was horribly taken advantage of by his manager. He could've done and been even more than he was, and certainly lived longer.
There are probably 300 or more recordings aelvis made.stage, recording studios.,movies, tv appearances and vinyl records. His live shows and Gospels are out of this world. More insight is had be checking out what others have said about him. We all like to hear it again. Thanks for making my day. Bless you.

Hello from Australia, love your reviews, check out Elvis singing, Bridge Over Troubled Waters, and Just Pretend and You've Lost That Loving Feeling, Trust me you will be BLOWN AWAY, STAY SAFE, 🇦🇺🇺🇲❤️💯👍🆗
Love to see you loving Elvis!!! Just turned 70 yrs old yesterday; and have loved Elvis for years. God’s first gift to the world was Jesus Christ; the second was Elvis.❤
I think something that gets overlooked is in Baz’s interview with Elvis’ childhood friend (sorry, can’t remember his name) stated that his mom wouldn’t let him bring his guitar outside, so he would pretend with a broom he kept in his treehouse. The friend said Elvis couldn’t mimic any musical sound with his mouth when he’d pretend to play. I can believe it. His voice IS an instrument ♥️👑♥️
His old childhood friend was named Sam Bell (R.I.P.). The most outstanding thing I ever heard him say about Elvis was that they all worried about Elvis when his parents moved from Tupelo, because he was from such a small poor place, they thought that kids in the big city would take advantage of him. That is a good friend.
😢the early 1970 Vegas days when Elvis was in his prime he was very athletic and in good health. His performances showed high energy performances such as this. Also, from that’s the way it is Polk Salad Annie and Patch it Up. Unfortunately, not more of those performances were fined. He did so many concerts there were a lot of missed opportunities. If you check the 1956 TV performances you see the raw energy he had. From the beginning he did what no one else had ever done. That’s why he is special.
Elvis was the first to put on a performance like that. Another wild one to check is Polk Salad Annie. Original name is from pokeweed, but for some reason song is called Polk Salad Annie.
Elvis é atemporal, quando você ouve ou assiste seus vídeos, você só vê um talento descomunal e um magnetismo inexplicável, por isso ele é ÚNICO e INSUPERÁVEL ❤
Seeing him smile as he sings and performs and goofing around with the back-up singers is indeed amazing and contagious. He was such a showman besides being an amazing singer.

Thanks for watching and the insight! Can’t wait to hear more from him! This performance was absolutely amazing! He definitely knows how to command the stage! 🔥
Elvis was and will always be the best, beautiful generous soul

Keep watching these lives…yes, he’s conducting the band!
Polk Salad Annie
How Great Thou Art
American Trilogy
👑👍
GOTTA react to Polk Salad Annie!! Yes, he had his own band...and back up singers...The Sweet Inspirations!"❤🎉
hi, great reaction! you re hooked now😂. Elvis ist the king! king of kindness, king of bling, king of cool, king of fashion, king of rock n roll. well theres so many great songs.
Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed!
Awesome job. Elvis Presley is a legend that's a fact 💯 ❤
Glad you enjoyed it! He is a LEGEND indeed! I absolutely loved this performance and can’t wait to check out more from him! Thanks for swinging by!
The king forever.
The "shove it up your nose" line wasn't actually one of the real lyrics. Elvis used to throw in funny lines sometimes. 😂
Elvis was known to be a huge practical joker even on stage.
The backup singers include 3 females known as the Sweet inspirations. one of those gals, Cissy Houston, was Whitney Houston's mom!!!
The KING, the Legend, the #1. Forever ELVIS ❤❤❤❤❤
Pls quit stopping & talking. Pls wait till the song is over.
Haha 🤣 That’s hilarious! What a showman!
Nobody will ever compare to Elvis.
2:18 "So if an old friend I know (Shove it up your nose) drops by to say hello..." Elvis loves to stick jokes in to the lyrics. So far, not a single reactor out of about twenty that I have listened to has caught the part I put in parenthesis, but it's definitely there!!
🤣😂 I have to go back and look for it now! Thanks for the info and hanging out!
Elvis all the way❤
Let’s goooooo! Such a Legend! ❤️
My favorite song and I love elvis ❤❤❤
Such an amazing artist! Loved this performance!
Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for the suggestions!
He was the most amazing performer there ever was or will be. He really put everything he had into his performances. He was a beautiful man with a beautiful heart. There will never be anyone like him.
Elvis! America's National Treasure
The universe is better with Elvis having touched our lives. There's Elvis and then there's everyone else.....can I get an Amen? Elvis is Eternal 🤘🏽💯⚡❤️
Elvis was the best entertainer ever.
The one and only Elvis Presley ,,. A voice you automatically know the second you hear it ,,, Never to be equaled !!!!❤
He not only took his TCB and on the road, he also had an orchestra and both male and female back up groups. It was a full package of top quality musicians in his shows. Whitney Houston's mother is one of the back up singers (The Sweet Inspiration's).
Only Elvis could command his back ground singers he told them when he thought they may be off key.
ALWAYS LIVE! so much better than any recordings of Elvis.
Appreciate the insight! Have a great one and thanks for swinging by the channel!
I disagree. Some are better as recordings.
❤👑👑👑👑👑❤️
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This was during his Vegas residency. He was there from '69-'76. Such a beautiful man with a beautiful voice, but he was horribly taken advantage of by his manager. He could've done and been even more than he was, and certainly lived longer.
There are probably 300 or more recordings aelvis made.stage, recording studios.,movies, tv appearances and vinyl records. His live shows and Gospels are out of this world. More insight is had be checking out what others have said about him. We all like to hear it again. Thanks for making my day. Bless you.
Full deal. Men women full singers. Orchestra. He did it. Ruled it all.
Full range singer.
❤ ELVIS
Elvis Presley The King of music forever,,, Elvis The best singer on artist all times,,, Elvis The voice of God 🥇👑
I love the way you respond to Elvis Presley's song and his performance. Please react to one of his song he performed on stage. The title is : Poke Salad Annie "
That’s seems to be the most requested so I gotta make that happen! Thanks for the kind words and stopping by! 😁
His people had to watch Elvis all the time ,because you never knew what he was going to do ,also you can never take your eyes off him ,because you never knew what he was going to do either ,he is a great singer ,and performer
Seems like it! That’s obviously why he was so admired! Such an incredible talent! Thanks for watching!
Ronnie Truck described it like drumming for a stripper

Thanks for the suggestions!
My favorite Elvis song. Trivia: One of the background singers was Cissy Houston...mother of Whitney Houston.
I am glad you get it now
try Tigerman live 😃👍
No doubt about it! The voice is most definitely an instrument and he is phenomenal at using it! Killer artist and singer!
Original name is from pokeweed, but for some reason song is called Polk Salad Annie.
amazing singer and entertainer - always gave 100% - please react to Love Me Tender live from Elvis That's The Way It Is live 1970
Elvis é atemporal, quando você ouve ou assiste seus vídeos, você só vê um talento descomunal e um magnetismo inexplicável, por isso ele é ÚNICO e INSUPERÁVEL ❤
The King Always And Forever ❤ The Voice !
I suddenly realise ive been smiling my head off for ages! He even controls my face muscles! 😂
Seeing him smile as he sings and performs and goofing around with the back-up singers is indeed amazing and contagious. He was such a showman besides being an amazing singer.
Polk Salad Annie is action packed too.
Just Pretend and Bridge Over Troubled Water are great. His entire catalog is phenomenal!
Thanks for the suggestions!
