i do think it's sweet that as soon as he picked up on her feeling embarrassed, he had all the other students do the exercise with them. so that she wouldn't feel put on the spot (AND so they'd get practice, too). seemed like a good teaching moment :)
That’s Eugenio Derbez is really famous Mexican actor, he is best known for called La Familia P Luche, under the same moon & instructions not included, don’t watch that movie if youre crybaby
I liked this film also. It is actually the 3rd remake (although the films differ enough to maybe not call them remakes but very similar) The first was A German film, "Jenseits der Stille" This is available on youtube although you may have to find someplace on the net to get the subtitles. I happen to speak German. The second remake was french La Famille Bélier I have only seen the first hour of the German film. It is good, you should check it out. I am not claiming that it is better than CODA only that you would find it interesting. I have not seen the french version.
I loved CODA. But it still bothers me that Villalobos never mentions diaphragm, placement, or vocal support as he supposedly teaches students how to sing.

Same old trope, someone who has talent is allowed to leave. What about the rest of us? And what if we have to return? Good performances though and highlight to deaf community
@@dorememe8548 People just love to hunt for archetypes and tropes to claim the first spot on anything like the claims of the Hindi movie. But in the end other than the archetypes and tropes the similarities between all these movies end there as is an underdog story with deaf parents thrown into the mix.
No one involved heard of that movie. It was based on a French film, “La Famille Belier.” Whether that French film was intentionally based on that Bollywood film or not is up for debate.

Good teachers praise publicly, shame privately.
The guy playing the teacher does a great job, such a fun character.

Amazing film! Love you guys)))
0:13 Is that a King Crimson shirt? Nice.
Sure looks like a Discipline tee to me. (I got well acquainted with that gordian knot when I etched that onto a beer stein for my husband)
Love the Discipline t shirt.
I loved CODA. But it still bothers me that Villalobos never mentions diaphragm, placement, or vocal support as he supposedly teaches students how to sing.
maybe he teaches it in scenes we never see
It's implied they've had more classes and more teaching than we see onscreen so I'm sure he would have gone into more detail in other classes
Maybe… just maybe, because singing is not really the focus of the movie? I mean….
More like, he's teaching them how to speak.
Almost like in a normal cinematic movie they can't show every second of every lesson?
Eugenio Derbez was in the movie, Dora and the Lost City of Gold. He is excellent in this movie.

My only complaint about this movie is we don’t get a full version of “let’s get it on”
There’s gonna be a stage musical adaptation of this movie so we might actually get one
what is going on 😭
Wow
Alguém sabe o nome da musica nessa cena que ela canta e linda essa musica alguém me ajudar por favor

Belier family it's so much better
Agreed. This is too "americcan"
Both of them are inspired by a German movie called „Jenseits der Stille“, the story is almost the same Imao.
Everything is inspired by everything else, calm down.
They didn’t even use real deaf people in the original film, only one. They got extremely criticized. The American version is much more respectful.
Coda won awards, what did Belier win?
