You are wrong. The act of turning and change is conversion. It is not reversion, because it requires will and effort, not simply defaulting. It is hard work. The Islamic word tawba also entails turning back.

Mind you, he lead his mother to study islam and she seems quite interested. When i was living in Paris , i helped freely a muslim brother to buy books about islam and a jewish family came a jewish boy who was about 12wanted to buy a Quran . He was already a muslim revert

For anyone who is curious, there is a Muslim religious institute in Israel. The official process is to go at the of 18 and up and request to convert. In regards to military, you can not serve in the army if you wish not to, it will be a bit difficult though. We do have freedom of religion in Israel, you can convert to any religion as long it is done from an official religious institute.
In Hebrew, the name of the Muslim institute is called בית דין שרעי bait din shara’i. In my personal opinion she would be brave if she refused because of political opinion, this isn’t courage it is simply letting the army decide if they want you or not. Oh and the process to entering the army starts like a year and a half before you turn 18, you can disagree on mandatory service or not but that is the law. And it is applied the same in most countries that have it. I do wish her a happy life and I hope she can find her path in life. Happiness can be found through any religion.
I probably already angered some of you, so all I wish you all is a good day and a happy life.
