Edit: oops, I meant to say that leok is the one that can't be cleared, because it allows the bat to trade. Misha can be cleared with the cleric and duskbreaker
Enemy had a cleric on the board, if he played companion and got misha the priest would have been able to run the cleric in then dusk breaker clearing toast's board while setting a board up for himself. To counter that he played bow instead so that he'd have the answer to duskbreaker and then he'd be able to companion setting himself up with a board while his opponent had nothing. That's the clarification he was making.
Not if you expect to win really. Since Hunter has always been very minion and SMOrc based, it has gotten many speels that summon minions over time. Due to the inclusion of Deathstalker Rexxar and Weapons it was a very fitting class for that archetype
I would say warrior could probably make a minion-less deck that would work in a heavy control meta, and wild paladin could make a really really shitty spell only deck that could still win in some fringe cases.

Scream Hyper That deck with a copy of rat trap was on icy veins from day 1 but spell hunter wasn't popular enough to get attention amidst the miriad of locks and paladins and spiteful decks running rampany.
It was a thing before the cards even came out. Blizzard was clearly planning for it to be a thing from the start. As in they made all the cards at the same time so they would go together in a deck. They probably played it in house tons of times before it was ever released.
Ryan Wilson it won’t because it still loses to decks that can out race it, taunt decks and decks that gain a lot of armor. It’s a decent counter to current top meta decks though but that would just make the meta change
Samuel Jeffries meh its a pretty good card and it is especially not bad in an archetype like hunter where you are trying to kill them as fast as possible thus the burn doesn't matter as much because you never planned on getting anywhere close to fatigue. The key is in the fact that you can choose the right tool for the job. It can help you get that perfect early game push, or that last turn finisher. It is almost entirely equivalent to graceful charity in yugioh which while it has a different role in its metagame was so powerful it got banned.
madison king I play some rush decks myself, but I think the thing that gets me, is that there’s cards you’re pulling are the top 3 of your deck. Which means if you just wait, you can get those cards without having to burn them. The card you pick could literally be drawn that very next turn and the punishment is that you burn other cards which you could also need. I guess it’s okay to burn a few cards when you play Rhok since you’ll probably get those spells back, but I just don’t like the card :/
Samuel Jeffries you just said you can wait, which is not an option in an aggro deck. Also while your deck isn't really supposed to have bad cards in it tracking has the ability to allow you to burn cards that would be useless in the matchup or situation and thus make your next 2 draws better. The only downside to the card is that you can sometimes pull 3 important cards early on in the game and lose some late potential, which isn't too bad in an aggro deck because you arn't looking to go late
