Your dyed papers turned out gorgeous! Loved them all! TFS 🤗. PS I went to your Pylant family music site to see you all sing for the first time! I loved it so much and I watched several videos! You are so talented! TY for your service to our King! 🙏💖🎶
This method is great! I’m not selling anything and this method makes so much since - dying all the papers/items you’ll use for say a journal one has in mind and, your done! Minimal color dying at one time. Thank you.
Wow! The dyed papers and doily’s are beautiful!!! So worth the time and effort!!! I never thought to do book pages! Thank you so much for sharing the process!!!❤
I need to start making my own, but the thoughts of guarding the oven, etc, just doesn’t excite me! This method, however, doesn’t incite dread! TFS! Love to hear you talk about your girls night w/your daughter. Some of my favorite memories are of mine & moms Girl’s Nights. Now that she’s gone Home, just thinking about them brings me joy & comfort. A gift, that if it came with a card, it would say “hugs & kisses, love Mom from heaven”!!😇 Continued prayers for your dad & sister 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I loved watching ur process. Maybe u could try when u take a page out and it has a small puddle use a straw and gently blow on it and se what kind of designs u get. im going to try it. i love th colors. i wanted a purple to. LOL THANKS for sharing. U and urr mom have some great ideas. I use to scrapbook also back whn it was the big crazy. I did a lot of albums.and then just got burned out. How many albums u think u did. i lost some of my favorit stuff cause i loaned it to my daughter and she lost. My favorite thing was the paper crimper. U stuck a sheet paper in it and turned it and it crinkled it. My husband made me a punch gadget cause we had puncie piece swaps and it was rough on the hand, i just sat the punch under it and pulled the handle down on it, so much easier. I LOVE UR TAG TUes. thank you.🐞🐞🐞
After Easter and all the egg dying kits go on sale I buy a bunch up and use them to dye my papers and they turn out goergous. You can usually get them for a quarter each I have gotten them for ten cents each.

I Loved this video,i was having kind of a hard day/morning and i sat down with my morning coffe and watched your video and at the end of your video my mood had compleetly changed-so though i am in a though spot in my life i am so grateful for your video, for you making it. i am really grateful for my life-even the hard parts cause they often give us great lessons when looking back,so now i am going outside to walk my seniour horse, take my dog too,let them have some fun in the forest and maybe do some dying papers after when i am back. Bless you. Hugs from Norway
The gel food colours are very rich! Gorgeous! I dry my papers on low in my Sahara food dryer for about an hour; that way I can get more done in a day and not worry about setting fire to them or over-drying in the oven (haven't got room to lay them out anywhere). (my food dryer has rectangular shelving; the grid pattern on them sometimes shows on the dried papers too, which I'm okay with). Otherwise can use the dryer silicon type sheets that come with the dryer...
I thoroughly enjoyed this video, have never dyed papers before and I don’t have much space to spread them out but watching this has ticked some boxes for me. Those papers are so gorgeous and it looks like great fun, I really have to try this sometime soon. Thank you for sharing xx
Thank you for sharing your process! One thing you might try if you're having trouble separating pages - I use a larger pan (lasagna sized) and stagger the layers. It made it easier for me to find the edges, and I tore fewer corners. :)
All I do is put a stack of paper in my pan pour 3 cups of water with food coloring in it and turn pages back and forth removing a page at a time and laying them staggered on my craft table ten sheets or so thick on top of each other at different angles and let them dry under my ceiling fan for a few hours. 4 or so. then they have ripples and cracks and marks all over them and I iron them the next day and it is so easy one pan and a table to dry them on. The colors are beautiful!!!!
You could add more water or add a little bit of white paint to soften up the red, but not too much because you’ll get pink unless that’s what you’re kind of looking for just an idea
I have trouble getting those type of gloves on too. I’ve found that if I sprinkle a little powder on my hands & rub it all around, my gloves slide in easily.
I do like you've done but I also put sprinkles put the sprinkles on copy paper and squirter cold water on the sprinkles green and red looks great its fun to see what you get.
I totally love ❤ this video didn't know this could be done awesome I'll need to do some of these. Thank you for the Fabulous inspiration. Wow beautiful.
I like to eco dye. I leave my papers to sit in the colour overnight, Lift it out my pan and hold it until it stops dripping. I can separate the pages easily then.. I'm in the UK but have a big food dehydrator that I sometimes dry papers in if I'm doing a big amount, or if a small amount I will lay them on the big trays just to air dry. I always have a plant sprayer of a very strong coffee dye next to my dehydrator and will spray a few pages here and there. My favourite pages are the ones where the colours mix. In the UK, a lot of people use a herb rack that hangs to dry papers. Your colour stack is gorgeous. I've just got 3 colour gels to try with my papers
Hi Mylena Gail from Massachusetts here your new subscriber! I bought kool aide and food coloring. So I typed how to dry junk journal paper with food coloring and watched a few . I was crafting and half paying attention because I have no desire to bake paper in oven . Then you came up and I saved you to watch again for real ! Wow they came out beautiful. I really want pink papers too . When you added yellow I was oh no ! But it PERFECT coral peach ! I bet I end up orange. My birthday may 20 . Love emeralds of course. My favorite color is Aqua when asked . Everyone always says AQ ? I say actually Tiffany blue my favorite color or and shade of blue and green combine. I can’t wait to see your other videos for junk journaling! You should see my apartment when I dyed coffee and tea batch . Paper hanging over everything. Thank goodness I am empty nester ! Lol you didn’t even have to iron either. Why everyone else take risk and constantly checking oven ? Me and my five kids lost our home to a fire . It was small fire 🔥 I tried putting out but fire spread so fast in matter of seconds. No way TTFN
Oh Melina they will make a beautiful Spring or Easter journals. I've done tea stain but not colors and I will be doing this. Thank you for sharing this. 🙂❤
They seemed to get a little more vibrant. I’ll know next time to get more pastel shades to add more water. But I do love these. They will make a very colorful journal. 😁
Wow factor. I did a rainbow of colors with my food colors. They are so beautiful I hate to use it. Lol yours are so pretty too!! Food coloring does a great y!!!
Absolutely beautiful, how satisfying dying paper is! I have been using gel food coloring recently to color paper and am very pleased with result. Great video.
I just think it somehow works better than the teardrop ones? Maybe the gel is more concentrated color? I don’t know but these turned out so well. So much better than I expected. I’m so excited!
Beautiful 🤗🤗🤗 I used food dye. Reg not gel. My colours were not as soft tone and pastel I will try another batch with the gel food colour this time! Yours look so pretty ………🥰
I've just started out and made my first journal and am on to my second. Using a lot more of the great ideas from watching these videos. Made some envelopes from printer paper and used food coloring to dye them. Your papers turned out great. So much fun learning all these unique ideas!
I can definitely relate w the excitement! I did a beautiful blue kinda turquoise dyed papers few months ago w food coloring and I've been hoarding it 😅 I loved it so much that I don't want run out of it. Enjoy your beautiful papers Melina, I'm sure you can't wait to play w those 😊💖
Just beautiful! I can tell how excited you were for color! What fun! Thank you for sharing your method with the jell food coloring. I have the jell in little bottles, but I think it's probably the same, and will work as yours did. I made some alcohol inks with it that worked out well, so I'm sure it'll be good for dying my papers with as well. Will try it very soon!
Fantastic! I noticed my teardrop food coloring had expired and I'm so glad that I didn't throw it out. Now I know exactly what to do with it. Thank you for sharing.
Great job on the papers. I did some the other day and added a little vinager am it made the colors more intense. Just like you do with Easter eggs. Just a suggestion.
After seeing your mom’s video, I spent last summer in my garage dying like you just did. The bounty that resulted was exhilarating. Such a great feeling. Enjoy your goodies.

love that you stack them, i was worried i wouldn't have enough space to do more than a couple at a time so im glad to see this technique!
Iike your process! If you want a softer or more pinkish red, you can add a little blue or purple to the red.
After Easter and all the egg dying kits go on sale I buy a bunch up and use them to dye my papers and they turn out goergous. You can usually get them for a quarter each I have gotten them for ten cents each.
Yes!
