deadass like a month after i start the journey of trying to wear my natural hair more (i have a 3a curl pattern but my hair is also really thick and heavy so they only hold for like 36 hours currently) this taller than average king shows up with really good curl hold AND tells us how he got it. an icon, a legend, we love SSS also, i really like how they're doing the audio now where it raises a little when they stop talking. it makes it not only easier to hear the game but also makes the compression artifacts from the audio less noticeable.
I had a similar issue when I first started wearing my hair natural after straightening it for years. I really recommend trying finger coiling for at least the first few months of your journey, it helps train your hair to actually curl again and if you use the right gel for your hair type, you can get them to hold for days. Definitely look into how thick your individual hair strands are and try to figure out your hair's porosity so you know what products to use.

It could've also been used to offset the risk of the Fashion Show/Riddles. Gaining 600 gold when you lose 1000 means it's a net loss of 400, really. And instead Jacob veto'ed it, when that veto could've still been useful. Of course, if people voted for the fashion show he would lose an additional 200 gold, but it would've offset the risk to be 700 gold (fashion show) or 400 gold (riddles), both of which are reduced overall.
