@@davidfernandez8515Ali isn’t the best, you’re a casual. I love Ali, but Roy is better, what is it, 4 division champ? Roy is the updated version of Ali, speed and power. Also, hate me for it, but Floyd is better than Ali, this one hurt me to admit it a few weeks ago.
This was an appropriate stoppage by Otis' corner team. Mr. Mercante, as referee, has lots of things to take his attention whereas the corner team have just the welfare of the fighter to attend. Appearance on the ring apron and throwing in the towel is "belt and braces" to ensure the bout stops immediately. Well done.
It was a good stoppage, he had a corner that cared about him, that's what a pro trainer does, he was just outclassed they saw enough, he fought as best he could but rjj was just too much
Man they made Roy Jones Jr just as good in the Fight Night Round 3 game as he was in real life lol Just like in real life, in the game he throws unreal, lighting-fast combos with barely a jab 🤣🤣 it’s fun fighting him
Otis Grant was a legit champion at middleweight, even if he wasn't "the man" (that distinction belonging to Bernard Hopkins), but he had no business jumping up two weight classes to challenge Jones jr. Grant versus Joppy, Holmes or even Hopkins would have been an interesting match-up, but not this. Would Hopkins have dominated Grant...? Probably, but at least it would have had meaning as a unification fight between two middleweight titlists. This fight didn't really make any sense, regardless of Grant's skill. He didn't belong at 175.
I have loveed Roy ring Savin ness from his beginning to his end as a boxer. We can beat Father Time. He was surely great. Have you. Noticed very how Roy is very athletic, Bud Crawford is athletic , and Floyd , same, Athletic. They made theme-selves flexible with power and speed. The real key to their long successful carriers.
Roy had every round. Domination. I would have scored at least one of the non-knockdown rounds a 10-8 as well (round 3 for sure as he outlander him 26-3). The round Lederman gave grant- he landed 13 punches! That was his best round and I wouldn’t even have given him that. He didn’t land but one jab over 100 the entire fight! RJJ pound for pound!
My impression is that Jones controlled the fight completely, allowing Grant to get him up against the ropes to look like Grant was in the fight. When the commentators criticised Jones for not doing enough, not throwing enough jabs, etc., Jones was deciding when and how to attack Grant. At no time was Jones in any serious danger. Jones started standing flat-footed in front of Grant, studying him and deciding what would happen next. Jones hit Grant pretty much whenever he decided to, so it seems to me that Jones liked him and was in fact 'babysitting' him.
Wait, was there ever a blood test or did he just believe they were his kids because of a tingle he got!? I don't really think they look like him at all.
I knew "Roy" was going to take care of business after the first two rounds,no competition here,Roy fault like a conductor conducting a symphony,Emmett***

Otis Grant' s style of fighting is poor. He doesnt throw enough punches to look competitive. The southpaws stance is clumsy. He hardly uses his left jab
hbo sells the sweet story about roy's kids... and then... "No I don't live with them", and then hbo adding "but he's an active part of their daily life" so he what, puts them up in some city not too far, not too close? Why wouldn't he live with his 2 sons? either fake story or... weird... what's roy doing at his mansion that he cannot live with his sons? Why did the son wink all sneaky like when the cameras show him in crowd. all a hoax? if it's supposed to be a lovable story to endear us to jones, what's with the part where he admits he doesn't even live with them. Took them from the mom, so she's some kinda impoverished hoe or crackhead, and then he puts his kids in some place where he can visit at his convenience. what?

Prime Roy Jones Jr. was a thing of beauty. He genuinely looked unstoppable, even comparing how he looked to guys like Ali, Mike Tyson, Floyd, etc.
Ali was the best but Roy is the most dominant boxer to ever step in a ring
@@davidfernandez8515 Idk it's either Roy or Joe Louis. I think I'd give it Louis. Why do you consider Ali to be the best?

Roy Jones Jr was the classiest champion.
He wore a blazer sometimes a tie to almost every fight.

Southpaws (lefties) jab with their RIGHT hand, & cross with their left.
