  • The Irish World was at Liverpool which took place at the Bluecoat over two days in April 2024.
    Shout is a mental health and arts festival that was started by Ashford Place, a social inclusion charity based in Cricklewood, with the first festival being Shout London which took place in 2022.
    Shout Liverpool was the first Shout festival to take place outside London and is going to return.
    Here we speak to those taking part, we talk to festival founder Carey Fitzgerald, Adrian McCarthy who screened his film OCD and Me, playwright and former champion Irish dancer Maria McAteer and singer- songwriter Sacha Wood who spoke about their struggles with depersonalisation derealisation disorder, PEDS (Personalised Eating Disorders) and artist Katy Evans who talked about eating disorders, Jon Salmon of What's Going on in Your Head? and Aleksandra Jones of the Gravida Collective who brought day one of the festival to a close with her dance Lullaby for Mother.
