I was hanging with John prior to Origin's set back in April, and the topic of other drummers came up. I asked him about drummers who he feels are cheaters in terms of trigger sensitivity and other shortcuts, and Keith was one of the names he dropped. He did have nothing but praise for Alex, however.
Much respect to this guy! I don't know anything about him and the band, but I love his style. He plays very fast and technical stuff, yet he hits his drums pretty hard!
Fuck yeah. This guy, Lille, and KC Howard take it to the next level by incorporating other elements of music within Death Metal. Hands down three of my favorite drummers ever.
Yeah, I also knew that he had pretty extensive gospel experience. Again, I feel about this kid the same way I feel about Lille Gruber: we need more drummers like this. I mean, you can't be slacking if you're gonna do brutal death drumming, but they just take it to a whole new level.

I really like how he doesn't just hit the cowbell a few times, but fully incorporates it in his songwriting.
