This is my first TRANSIT TUTORIAL. NYC has a massive and complex transit system, so I thought I would start offering step by step walkthroughs.
What transit tutorial you would like me to do next! Leave a comment.
I plan to make them much streamlined and cleaner as I figure this out. Авто/Мото
The 9 ran from 1989 to 2005 during rush hours. A skip-stop service of the 1
Great line it was
I Would Swap Schedules But The 1 Is An All-Time Train
Are You Agreeing To Me?
Until the 9 train was decommissioned
I Would Still Bring Back The 9 Anyways
Yes there used to be a 9 Line. The IRT version of the Z Skip-Stop.
Curtis Livingston ok
Yabadabadoo ! Finally I have an Answer about whether I can get to 34th Street Station ........ direct from New York Penn Station & not have to go out on the Street & fight my way along 7th Avenue, then having to cross over to the other side of 7th Avenue in order to Enter 34th Street Station. Thanks so much for making this Tutorial.
Amazing Elevator Feature!! That was lit!! They got GAL everything!! Fixtures, equipment, everything
Thanks, my friend from Chicago saw your video, and he was able to get to my house safely because him and his mom needed help navigating themselves to the subway from their amtrak train
I remember when I went to Penn station around 2012 with my Dad
Is about the 9 train that is out of service on May,27th, 2005 and the 1 train is now making all local stops for the 9 train but the mta is proposed planning to extend the irt to red hook Brooklyn which is the 9
good video gogosuprtoe your the best keep making them
I Love This Place!
12:02 If you keep going straight down that back passageway, there's actually a back entrance to the 123 that's much less crowded and closer than going through the whole LIRR concourse.
I remember the 9 train. Well, I remember it NOW. I had forgotten all about it.
Great video. How do you get to 1,2,3 when your Amtrak train co es into Moynihan Train Hall?
Thanks for the tutorial. I think I've done that once. It seemed like a long way from Amtrak to the subway station ... but probably because I confused. This will be helpful as I want to get off at the Times Square station. -- Speaking of suitcases, at least the carry-on size. I push the handle down and nudge it under the turnstile. Because I go to NY infrequently, sometimes I almost forget to put the handle down. One time my suitcase handle got tangled up in a turnstile pole. LOL. Fortunately, a nice lady helped me. --- As for suggestions, not really a tutorial, but if you are over at Grand Central, can you talk about the LIRR station they are building there? Unfortunately, it's still several years from opening :( Just a thought. Appreciate all your videos!
such a good vid
I want you take the go on G a m e trains!!🙃
Can you do my home station trains first take the (E) to West 4th st the take the (F) or to delancey st Essex st and take the (J) or (Z)
Ya the 9 train use to be on the 7 avenue line after coming from Dyre avenue with the 5 then it was moved to run in Manhattan only as the local train and the 1 train was Express to south ferry
Cool video 😀
Wow! Nice find with the 123 and 9 sign! :O
They seriously need to re model this part of Penn station badly. No plug outlets, no places to sit, and way too many homeless people coming up and bugging you. Something has to be done.
11:03 The 9 train ran from south ferry to 242 st in the Bronx, it runed from 1989 to 2005, they got rid of it because it was the same as the 1 line😀
Never knew that
Hi thks for the walk-through. Can u also make a video on where to get a train in Penn Station bound to Washington Union Station pls? Thank u
I live on long island and sumtimes i watch these so lmaoo like the vids tho
Am a fan of you
Nice Video GoGoSupertoe! And Yes, There Actually Was A (9) Train. It Ran With the (1) Just Like The (J) And (Z). The only thing was that people Were Constantly Complaining About The (9) Due To The Fact That it only skipped about 3 stations. So On May 27 2005 The MTA Descided To Discontinue The (9) Forever Resulting In (1) Making All The Stops. R-I-P IRT (9) TRAIN BROADWAY 7TH AVENUE SKIPSTOP FROM 1989-2005
i’m arriving from penn station and i need to get on the 3 any tips pls!?!?
Penn Station Is Awesome!
This is outstanding!! Could you do another tutorial inside Penn going from the LIRR to the subway or the LIRR out to the street?
It was a 9 skip stop train service via the 1 line on rush hours like the Z line
Thinking you'll do station hopping in the near future soon?
Do a tutorial of how to get from grand central to the subway
11:21 True, there used to be a #9 route running on the #1 route as part of a skip-stop service
Good ℹ
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Which exit to the nearest walking to get to a hotel?
Will be entering from 8th Av/31st w corner into Pen...Need to take line 2...down to 140 Broadway...
I dont wanna look lost. Would you cue me up?
I need to update this tutorial because signage and wayfinding has improved significantly. You'll be able to find your way to the 2/3 at Penn Station without much problem just following the signs. Just remember both the Brooklyn bound (south) and Bronx bound (north) 2/3 trains share a center platform at 34 Penn. You'll want to take the Brooklyn bound 2/3 to probably Wall St and walk from there.
It never ran again of all the delays on the 1 because of the 9 it was a Express from 242 st to 96 st and then ran local to south ferry that inner track at the old south ferry was for the 9 that wall next to the 2 track is platform 2.
Luggage tip Lower the handle on the suitcase push it under the turnstile a few steps from the metal bar on the turnstile so the metal turnstile so it doesn’t hit the luggage and then swipe your metro card
Train is the 9 subway New York subway do you know what sign is that
Hi sir can I withdraw money from the card?
You should make the video going to Bostonon a Amtrak
How to get to the PABT from Grand Central or Pennsylvania Station by subway?
From GCT-Take the shuttle or the 7 westbound to Times Square, and walk thru the 42nd St Corridor to the PABT.
From Penn Station-Take the A, C, or E trains uptown one stop to 42-PABT
Do a tutorial on how to get from the 123 to the ACE to the S To the 7 to the NQRW in Times Square!
No need to go out of penn station to get a subway toNewport,NJ ?
Yes
Try to upload the 2020 Subway Year in the NYC Subway.
A 9 was in service from 1989 to 2005 during rush hours event
9 Train service was discontinued on May 27 2005 now 1 service makes all local stops.
Yes the 9 train use to be a train but it was taken down may27,2005
There was a 9 going between south ferry -242nd st
0:05 yes that is a 9 it was a train that was rush hours like the Z train. But the line got disconnected
1:22 I was attacked down here
12:02, it is actually easier to continue straight down that hallway to the 7th Avenue line instead of making the left. That hallway takes you right to the subway.
100% Plus, you can see some of old Penn Station down there too. Look up at the turnstile. Right before the turnstile, there is a sign that says All Trains partially under a fluorescent lamp. That was from the old station too.
I could be wrong but I think think that Hilton Passageway - old cruddy hallway - was an external entrance-way.
@@JimmyLem yeah that too. You can see the original Penn Station by the subway entrance.
@@alk61695 Yup, at the turnstile
I saw your face when you show everybody the Metro card
I have a channel subscribe you will be the king!!
@@smilecreativeworld7882 SURRRRREEE.
You should really do Grand Central Station 4 5 6 7 S to the Metro north terminal because people easily get lost or confused
11:01 / 11:23 gogosupertoe , yes there used to be a nine train
How about Grand Central Station?
Now you don't need a MetroCard because OMNY the new contactless fare system was installed. You put your credit card on your digital wallet and you tap your Phone or Contactless Credit or Debit card to enter the subway other stations have it too OMNY.info you can see them on the turnstiles at 5:47 they were not turned on yet when this was posted.

11:00 This 9 Train was the exp one like when you are in the r142 1 train you see at the strip map its saying 9

To answer your question: yes, there used to be a 9 train. It was an express version of the 1.
Boston
There was an 9 train before but they removed it
9 - Skip stop 1 train in bronx
You also could take the A train to Howard Beach for JFK airport
I stumpled upon a way to make it to JFK using the metro and avoiding the $7.75 AirTrain charge. I read that I needed to take the A train to Ozone Park-Lefferts Blvd and then transfer to the Q10 bus (it is a free transfer) at Lefferts Blvd & Liberty Ave which will take me to JFK's Terminal 5. This video at 8:02 shows only Lefferts Blvd and since I am using it from Penn Station late at night I suppose I will need to take the A train at the C E level, right?
I am confused now, I don't know if the actual train I need to take is supposed to say "Ozone Park-Lefferts Blvd" or just Lefferts Blvd as shown in this video.
This A train to Howard beach will lead me to JFK? Do I need to take the AirTrain?
The 9 ran from 1989 to 2005 because it crash on the local track at a speed of 65 on a curve
Frost Roblox that’s not true your talking about the Franklin avenue shuttle wreck
Also swipe at a medium speed to get it first try.
