Edward's playing on OU812 was unparalleled. The playing on the first 6 albums was good, 5150 shown signs of maturity but his playing on this album is out of this world! BTW, Great tone and playing.
It seems like a simple guitar part, but making the guitar parts stick out against the keyboards is what made this song magical. It wasn't a keyboard tune like "Love Walks In." This was a real rocker.
Kudos to your talent in figuring this out and playing along to EVH note for note but the real amazing thing is it displays EVH crazy over the top guitar playing skills.. My God,, the cords and plucking notes..
