Great video, these feel like Delta 3200 film but with more contrast. Wondering if I can get the same effect from the newer cameras. They have a grain and high contrast setting.
This is awesome! Mind if I ask if you're using a separate camera for the video itself, or can you shoot stills while in the video mode? (I've never used the video mode on my Original GR Digital) Thanks!!!
I had a old GRII Digital from 2009 last year and loved it, sold it though and bought a GRIII. Seems like these old digital cameras are coming back into fashion for their grain and filmic qualities. Great video 👊
I liked this video. How do you like the Ricoh GR1? Street photography has always intrigued and interested me. Unfortunately I live in a small town and most of the people prefer their picture not be taken.
Actually, I just came back to this video and realized by looking at the date (upload on March 18, 2020!) this is a stunning piece of pre-Corona POV ! ! We do not know when or whether such times will return. When looking into these people's eyes I know they were completely unaware what was going to come. I do not know when this footage was exactly taken but here in Germany the schools were closed on March 16, 2020. I wish you all the best and I like your style of shooting and the the way you are presenting your videos.
@@-DreniM- thanks for your reply I actually shoot with a Sony a5000 aps-c but it's not the best camer to shoot in the street. I'm looking for something different and I can see that the first Ricoh gr digital is very cheap. If I'll find one I'll give it a try.

This is one of the best street photography videos I’ve seen. Great fluid captures. Way to hustle and staying on the move! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you🙏

All the pictures was edited with snapseed on phone…try it.
Thank you 👍

they are using a go pro for the video
What do you have contrast and sharpness set to? Awesome photos btw
I don’t touch contrast and sharpness (in the middle)
Thank you!
The picture of the guy with the cigar looks like it could be from 60-70 years ago. Brilliant.
15:54 That one's so classy! So fast! Nice decisive shot! You have a favorite? :)

Nowaday people want the latest and greatest camera…but 10 mega pixel is good enough
Brilliantly done. Thank you for sharing
Thank you🙏
I have just acquired this 8.1 megapixel camera in 2021 and love it. The lens is so sharp, the pictures look 3 dimensional
Yes is a good camera..i love it!
What settings do you usually use? Are you in snap focus? Just acquired my grd2, and I'm still learning how to use it. Thanks mate!
Hello,yes snap focus,P mode and 400 iso.
With good light sunny 16
@@-DreniM- snap focus for GRD 1 is 2.5 metres correct?

duanemcclun this is the GRD1 (2006)...street photography is not shooting only people.
Shoot whatever you want just go outside!
Thank you.
Nice photos! Look like High Contrast Monochrome in the newer GRs.
I prefer the black and white that one really good!

13DCR It’s true that it will never be the same....sad time.
I ippreciate and thank you.
It is fun to watch your walk.
Did you use snap focus?
13DCR THANK YOU and always snap focus!!
@@-DreniM- I thought so 😀👍. I just got myself a GRD4 on ebay the other day. I will soon be playing with it. Greetings.
13DCR the GRD4 is fantastic.....i have 3....and many many other GR 🤩
This was the answer I was looking for!
Great video and great images! Are you adding grain in post? How are you editing the images?
Thank you!
I edit my images on Snapseed and for the grain the GRD1 are enough grain at iso400…if you love grain go for 1600iso but you lose details.
@@-DreniM- Thank you!
how do you set the snap focus for GRD1?
Only one setting snap focus on the GRD1 and is around 2.5m
Very nice, I'm looking for this old Ricoh gr, which settings do you have on the camera? Thanks
Thank you....basic settings black and white jpeg, snap mode and Snapseed for editing.

would love to know your set up
Iso auto? Et tu le laisses gérer la vitesse?

You're not shooting from the hip, so not being totally discreet?
Street photos always look better to me with less capable cameras.
Yeah me too!
Funny how you sniff everytime you take a shot ;)
🤣 I was sick and freezing
Yeaahh, this camera is way overpriced right now
