      The is Ukrainian politician is nuts like the rest of them. He talks absolute rubbish . There is and never has been any sign by Putin to take over other countries and rebuild an empire. If this is the case then why is he taking so slow in his approach with Ukraine. Surely he can smash it to bits and take it quickly and then move on. it’s what the yanks do and all other land grabbing countries do and in 5 mins. This war Des not seem like a nation wanting to build and empire. If you knew anything about military history I am sure you would agree it’s not the best way forward. Any way Ukrainians have lost their collective minds when it comes to sense and reason. I do not believe their politicians for sure. The hatred is too strong and their rational has become warped. You can understand this but it leads to delusion and this is what we have in the west. Ukraine is winning everyday but I do not see it on the map. Anyway just my point of view and not looking for a fight. Go in peace as this is what we need desperately..❤

    It is nothing to do with democracy but everything to do with Ukraine wanting to join NATO and Ukraine not implementing the Minsk agreement which was supposed to ensure the Russian speaking people in the east of Ukraine received fair treatment.
    At the beginning of the conflict Nigel suggested that the people in the east of Ukraine should have a vote on their future but the so called democratic West don't want that because people may not give them the answer they want. Recently Putin has shared details of the proposed peace deal between Russia and Ukraine with some African leaders. This is the one Boris Johnson scuppered when in April last year he went to Ukraine at the request of the Americans and told Zelensky to keep fighting rather than seeking a peaceful resolution with Russia,. The mainstream media have failed to report this and Johnson who has lied about Ukraine and NATO has blood on his hands.

    Why does the Zelenski regime need MPs now, since he banned any viable opposition parties ages ago? And this Zelenski MP didn't even bother to answer Nigel's questions, he just came out with the usual 'democracy for Ukraine' nonsense. All Ukraine had to do was remain NEUTRAL, ie not seek NATO membership and not build up a powerful military with Western support near to Russia's border since 2014, whilst killing thousands of civilians in E Ukraine, also since 2014. It would now be a thriving country with great potential, rather than a smoking ruin with a generation of its young men wiped out, and the majority of its former population now living as refugees in other countries. I was surprised at Nigel's comment that Putin is in big trouble now. That is certainly not the case, he is riding high in the polls, and the Russian economy is expected to grow by 2% GDP or more in the next 12 months, unlike the debt-ridden economies of our Western nations. It is Zelenski who is in big trouble, despite all the billions of dollars of overseas support thrown into his bottomless money pit. History will not see him as the great hero and saviour of Ukraine.

Zelensky increased bombing of Donbass from Feb 16 2022 to 2,000 bombs per day, said they wanted to join NATO and wanted to retake Donbass and Crimea. What would you have done as President of the Russian Federation given that millions of Russians have friends and relatives in the Donbass region?
    In 2014 Yanukovych was removed by US' Victoria Nuland in league with EU's Guy Verhofstadt, Catherine Ashton and Donald Tusk, then Prime Minister of Poland but more recently official. NATO & EU work in lockstep and both expanded East after the fall of the Berlin wall in 1991. EU is a US tool in Europe - look up American Committe for United Europe - 1948. NATO and EU are useful tools for US to keep European markets and keep Russia out! Why do you think NordStream II was blown up and European nations then forced to build expensive port infrastructure to purchase more expensive US LNG? It's childish to say Ukraine is free to join NATO if'n they want to. WHY? because NATO is the US and the US despise Russia and want to destroy Russia.
    And The Ukraine government of 2013 were opposed to joining but it was overthrown by the US and the EU. So he's lying.

    A person can say this war isn't the business of the US or Great Britain or that NATO should not take Ukraine as a member and not be pro-Russia. Opposing a war isn't the same as favoring either side.

      I am not pro Putin or Biden . I oppose the war in Ukraine , my opinion being that most wars are started by old men with big egos who do not have to go and fight on the front line where young men are killed , old men who likely have ties to the armaments business. Having recently traveled throughout Eastern Europe I found that ordinary people had sympathy with Russia, this was a surprise as the media do not speak of the strikes or marches in Europe . There was anti nato graffiti on walls , there was no obvious fear in the black sea ports that Putin was out to get them. When asked people sighed and said “ the Americans will keep it going for year” The war remains in the disputed area of Ukraine where a civil war raged for years. This is war that cannot be won and this man who I note is not on the front line fighting is using language which is outdated, bullying and provocative. Have we forgotten that in 2015 Ukraine was voted one of the most corrupt countries in the world. No Putin is not for me but neither is Zelensky or Biden with his proxy war.

      @@ginnysutherland2216 Mostly agree, except the old men stuff (being old myself I don't see this bias as anything but more of the bias I see against old people a lot). But money is frequently the fuel for war and so it has been for centuries. The UN didn't do its job when Putin invaded. The only legitimate job the UN has is to prevent aggressive wars. But whatever, Ukraine isn't a vital interest of the US when we have Mexico and China on our plate.

    Sign a pact with Putin stating that Ukraine will not be allowed to join NATO if it is left alone to be a free independent country. Then, we will see what his true intentions are.

    @1:30, the Ukrainian MP is incorrect about Ukraine not implying about joining NATO. Zelensky's predecessor Poreshenko wrote into the Ukrainian constitution that Ukraine would become a NATO member in the future. Putin didn't want another NATO base on his doorstep, and definitely not Ukrainian Nazi's in possession of NATO nulcear missiles

    • @Blanka1100
      @Blanka1100 Год назад

      Putin uses Nato as an excuse to justify his sick idea to annex Ukraine. War was never about Nato. If Russia was a good neighbour, many former Warsaw pact members would have to need to join Nato to be secured. It is Russia which keeps invading and annexing its non Nato neighbours, not the opposite. Eastern Europe is not soviet backyard anymore and Russia is not a special need baby
