I have been teaching ballet for almost 5 years and recently I have been looking up for this amazing tips that can change my teaching skills; I feel veery proud because a lot of the things you said are necessary for teachers to have I do prioritize them and make everithing I can to do. I thank you for all your dedication to us, teachers and students, who are in loved with ballet.
Your advice is very helpful! I wish this video was available when I started ballet. Luckily I found great teachers who care about adult students. Thanks to them I improved a lot, but I still struggle with some of the basics you talked about. I hope to participate in your intensive one day! ❤
Thank you so much Isabella, Enjoy Melbourne it is such a beautiful city. I hope to join one of your intensives there one day when I return ‘home’. At 73 I might have to make a ‘flexible’ booking 😊 🩰❤️🩰
What an excellent video. I theraband my feet, but I've always had weak ankles and that has never changed. Also I second your opinions about floor barre. So important. I started ballet at 21YO in the late 1970s, the beginning of the adult ballet movement. One thing I never learned was the positions of the body in space. We did the "box" thing, but rarely did we do drills for learning those positions to make them second nature. That was always a gap in my training.
What is frustrating is that, it is nearly impossible, to find anything between beginner and advanced. So the general feeling is, as an adult, the assumption is that you must just be a big inner forever,
I honestly regret not taking Vaganova so much! still grateful to do ballet but I was supposed to learn Vaganova style and switched last minute. I think it's great for learning the true foundations personally. thank you for another great video!
I started ballet at 14, I'm now 21 and I'm preparing for my RAD Advanced 2 exam but I also take technique classes with a Vaganova teacher, I trust her so much. I'm not going to be a professional but absolutely love to work everyday to improve as much as I can because I'm doing this for myself. You're helping me so much with your videos! Love from Italy🇮🇹
Thanks, Isabella! I love this video, and it is dear to my heart. You are such a dedicated teacher to your students. I took the notes. 😂 Your 8-week beginner class opened up a whole new world, and I have started seeing some improvements. Thank you. ❤❤❤
Hola ! Me encantannnnnnnb❤🥰
You have helped me tremendously. I danced as a kid, and planned on dancing with a Company. However I had to choose between Skating and Ballet. Well I'm back at it again, and Loving Every Second of it.🤗💝
I will be near London in early September this year, I would gladly make the trek for the chance to jump in on a few of your beginners in-person classes * if only the stars align 🥹 I just re-began my ballet journey recently after 20+ yrs: continually encouraged by your guidance. I'm grateful I ran across your videos! (And if not this year, then surely the next time I come visit family in the UK! 🤞) I will peruse your website for more information. Thanks again for sharing your experiences ❤

You’re most welcome! ❤
On your first point (take your time), omg yes!! That is of the uttermost importance. Good, solid, accurate and precise foundations are everything. ❤
