Passage was such an interesting experience for me, like one of the most profound and thought provoking indie games I've ever played, yet I have no desire to play it ever again.
I remember the music being really damn good too, although I can't recall it right now.
Arin's description reminds me a lot of the old flash game The Company of Myself. It's not that similar by the sounds of it, but it sounds like it gave him a similar feeling. Except, y'know, this one has cool platforming. And hats.
Classic: Me Chinese, me play joke, me put peepee in your coke
The new jam: Me American, me so smart, me not drink the peepee part
With the joke being that you can't separate the pee from the rest of the drink, it portrays Americans as morons to the pleasure of the Chinese.
i love how the megaman playthroughs have some of the funniest jokes every time
I don't know why, but the "Mega Bar Mitzvah" joke hit me hard. 😂
Arin, every 20 seconds: "What was I saying?"
Please please PLEASE play all the Mega Mans Arin. I absolutely adore watching you play them. It's the perfect balance of already being familiar, so good conversation ensues.
Me literally up to the 5:20 mark:
"Slide damn you! SLIDE!"
5:25 and onward:
"That's my boy."
"we had accidentally uploaded a video without game audio"
yes dan, this happened several times over the years actually, i cant think of any specific episodes where it happened, but i remember it happening the most when kevin was editing, pretty sure it also happened a couple times when matt & ryan were editing
deadly premonition was the one that comes to mind.

“Why doesn’t Arin use the charge shot? I thought he was good at video games.”
Edit: alright time window ended. Arin you are still a funny man and do good at the mega man.
I saw the “peepeepart” tag and didn’t know what to expect but am I glad it went where it did.
These types of games are the best cause they don't have to focus on the game much, so they just talk about cool stuff
12:12 Danny you've triggered me XDDD, Peppermint is red, hence Candy canes, mint is green, spearmint is blue- maybe blueish green, and the best type of weed is purple- DUUHHH
The trick with the dropping gems in Crystal Man's stage: Use Starman's Barrier weapon.
That's good. Also, you can jump after any crystal falls, and make it.
There's a starman waiting in the sky...
Blegh
He's told us not to blow it, but Arin does anyway
20:30 - Arin's timing is impeccable.
In under 2 minutes we have gone from "5 is easy" to "this is hard"
Around 36:44 and a bit onward, I LOVE Arin's phrase "it has a more direct link to your emotional circuitry". Ugh, the reflective commentary in this (RE: video games being fun/interesting/both, etc) is genuinely SO GOOD.
Game Grumps playing any megaman game:
Arin: Hey Dan do you know why megaman is blu?
Dan: No
Arin:BeCaUsE ThE NeS hAd OnLy sO MaNy CoLoRs BaCk tHeN!!!
Game Grumps bringing the same facts for 7 years straight ...
21:47
Time for part four of the Tryforce trilogy: The Tryfource.
“Who says mega anymore?”
Supermega: Hey former editors here
It's great to see how far Arin has come with his opinions. With the Zelda Sequalitis the premise was "There is too much waiting. It's not fun. Therefore it's bad." And now he's at a point where he can say that just because the game isn't everything he wants it to be, doesn't mean it's not a great game.
Good stuff, man.
34:51 Danny says "Okay, cool" it activates my google voice assistant everytime.
Arin: Hey let’s talk about death stranding!
Arin: goes on 10 year long tangent
"6 years"
Wow thats actually a long time
*does calculations*
Hey wait thats around 2013/2014
Thats pretty much yesterday
fucking god i know right. how did this happen
“This is embarrassing” that could be me playing literally ANY game. Am I the game grump?
Turns out we are the game grumps all along.
You are the game grump. You are the one who humiliates
"You did it Arin, you did it. You fucked up"
I laugh more than i should have.
I can’t be the only one waiting for one of them to yell “MEGAMAN MEGAMAN!!”
