i’m looking into possibly majoring in music education there--- do you happen to know anything about the music community and what it's like?? are the music majors a small part of the college that's barely talked about or is it pretty relevant there?? etc. thank you!! :)
I was in the School of Business at Temple but did meet a few music majors. Generally at a big university like Temple you will mainly interact with other people within your school. You would be in the Boyer College of Music. So you will interact with others from that school 80 to 90 percent of the time. Think of Boyer as a small college within a big university. Boyer does have a good deal of prestige with Phila Orchestra members as instructors as well as well known jazz artist. I think that the vibrant music scene in Philly contributes heavily to Boyer's success as a music school.
