I have always thought that it would be cool to have kind of competitive mode in Mario Kart excluding power ups like blue shell, bullet. Anyhow it is interesting to see how they handle the blue shell.
I did that with friends for Mario kart double dash. They decided after a few races that they didn’t wanna do that anymore because I just kept winning. I played way more Mario kart than they ever did.

Those had the tracks in the order they were to be played so that the players didn't have to remember (tracks and order were predetermined). The marks are crossing off the tracks as they were played

Items play a bigger role and it’s essential to strategize with items and the team. (While obviously doing a near perfect run, since the maps in MK8DX are designed to be played in 150cc. 200cc is too chaotic and doesnt allow for much strategy. This is why it’s not used in competitive. 200cc is like the kids having fun chaotic mode.

You may be right about item play, but the game offers 200cc, so why not play it at its highest difficulty? It really separates the good players from the great players
I can see that kevo mains Rosalina that means I’d counter with the baby counterpart with the standard kart standard tires and parachute glider Im gonna be in this one day I tried for the one for September 2nd in Seattle but unfortunately I got red shelled the last several races and it just messed me up points wise for the Mario kart qualifier it just a matter of knowing I have to be more defensive as I tend to get picked on very often no matter what race I play in but I’m determined to be in this as to why I have 1300+ hours in this I wanna find out how often these kind of tournaments happen
