The B@ld Project: Alejandra

On Semester at Sea, when we cross the equator and hit 0° latitude,
"Neptune Day" is celebrated, during which shaving
your hair off is regarded as a "new beginning."
On the 130th voyage, 23 women decided to shave their heads.
This project is about their journey of being hairless in a society
that sees women's hair as an essential part of their femininity.
I have shortened interviews a lot so there may be unexpected cuts.
