Great photos! Enjoyed your vid. Micro four thirds is a great system to be into. Yes, the Sony FF system is also great, but then you’re back at bigger lenses, which are more expensive and with bigger files slowing your workflow down. And nothing beats the Olympus imagine stabilization and you should really try the camera’s Live Time function 😎 ps: if you decide to stay with M43, you should join our FB group called “Microfournerds”. We would love to have you as one of our members 😊

Hi Tommy, as the people were posing for pics for an extended period [not candid/public place], did you give them a token (payment) or did they request any payments in return? Interested to know how that side of things works when on travels and people posing for pics which could potentially later be sold in the UK / Online? Cheers ~

How did i miss this video of yours? :o Anyways, good one like all your other videos. I was curious, why was the Gnarbox missing this time? And how did you backup to the Lacie drive every day? Did you carry your laptop with you?

How difficult was to get the tribe to want to pose for pictures. Did they demanded anything from your crew.

    I have just two questions...
    1. “The most important thing is that it’s well planned.” Did my comedy of errors in Iceland help you with that conclusion in addition to your own travels? 😂
    2. Didn’t your backdrop in this video used to be a table? :)

Really felt the portraits had too much DOF compared to what you usually shoot and to what I prefer. You just can't beat FF for portraits.

Robert Grøndahl Winther I understand what you're saying, although I do not agree. Why exclude the background when it's such a large part of these portraits. They wouldn't have been the same great shots without that depth of field. I use the system my self and know that it's possible getting less depth of field if you should want to. I absolutely love my em1 Mark 2. If you would like, check out my Instagram Engnuttafredrik and look at my shots from a carneval in Gran Canaria. It worked excellent, delivered sharp results with great contrast with the 40-150 2.8 and continues AF. I can't say I would have done it better or have liked it more with ff. If you can, try Olympus out for a weekend or so. You might find something you like. But what ever works for you is of course the right choice. 👌👌

Even though m43 has a greater depth of field for a given aperture I have to agree with the previous comment that the environment really needs to be seen when you’re taking environmental portraits. To what degree is, of course, personal preference. I’m pretty sure many of the shots weren’t taken wide open so I doubt it’s an inherent flaw of m43 for these kinds of shots.

Hey Robert, thanks for your comment. Thats fair enough I guess its all personal taste eh. I actually was thinking i may have had even shallower DOF images had I chosen to taken a full frame but glad I took a system that has deeper DOF. Some of those shots are f4 but look f8 due to the sensor size difference. As I said though, its all just personal taste at the end of the day :)
