Great reaction m8. From what I gather The Big Push are on hiatus for a while. But given that Ren is in Canada undergoing treatment for six months that is not surprising. We can all hope that the guys will get back together when Ren returns to the UK, as we all want him to, fit and well🤞 They have a load of other good stuff out there from War Pigs, Paint it Black, Wade in the Water/Nina Simone to An Englishman in New York. That a band as good as The Big Push is still busking on the street is mind boggling! I hope they are filling stadiums in the not too distant future.
I reckon that if/when Ren gets the chance of big gigs/stadiums etc, he will want to share that with the Push guys and some of the other artists like Chinchilla and Sam. He's great at lifting others up, I'm sure any platform for Ren is going to have an "and friends" vibe. We're already seeing it.

Their covers of "I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop," which you obviously just experienced first-hand, "Wade in the Water/Nina Simone/Trouble so Hard," “War Pigs,” "My Generation," "An Englishman in New York," “Bongo Bong,” “These Boots Are Made For Walking,” the songs "Oh My Woman," “Swan Song,” “Sweet Little Lady," "It's Alright," "Watch Out," “Dignity,” and so many others are equally impressive. The band performed their last official busking session and gave their last concert in September of last year due to the fact that Ren was leaving for Canada to undergo medical treatment for his multiple health issues, including surgeries.
Oh man, you gotta check out his busking session with Sam Tompkins - Earned It / Man's World / Falling. Best street performance I have ever seen. More of that soulful Ren electric and even more vocal gymnastics! Fire!
Ren is a rare eclectic talent and he does bring the best out of his friends playing, Romaines solo was epic. I'm glad you loved this video he is the talent i never thought i needed in my life.

This was done on the streets in Brighton they were Busking. They had to have a break as Ren is in Canada having treatment but hopefully when Brighton's son comes home they will Kick back up.

You really must watch the street performance of their original song Watch out. You will say once again " I should have watched this a long time ago ". They also Have a cover , which they do on a roof top Called Bongo Bong . Its one of my favorites.
Their reggae is so good. I love The Big Push. The other group members are also good. Romain Axisa (guitar solo) and Gorran Kendall (guitar and vocals) both have great solo stuff.
The Big Push have a number of great covers but also have equally good original material. Check out "Xbox Marijuana" or the live version of "Watch Out" from this same performance for starters. Also, the acoustic guitar Ren uses is a flamenco guitar, not a classical.

I believe he said he signed with Sony a good while back but then got ill starting with Lyme disease, he did mentioned recently he has 2 albums done but not released (not 100% sure ) and he is gradually putting them on youtube and elsewhere im sure.
It is crazy how good Ren is at so many different things - in so many different styles. It begins I'm sure with a love and appreciation of music in all its forms. Put that together with his level of talent and the combination is deadly.

Bongo Bong and Englishman in NY are great live takes with their own spin on the songs. The band is quite talented, but on hiatus. They are all busking brothers so I’m sure they’ll play again.
The Big Push also have a busking version of War Pigs (mashed with other songs) which was recorded on the same day as this video. Really worth a watch! Shows off the guitarist Romain's talents.
You might want to check out when Ren was still in high school and played in a duo called "Trick the Fox". Search "Trick the Fox The Mash Up". A mid teens Ren showed huge talent.
Great reaction, the best attribute about Ren is that everything he does he puts his all into it, Ren does not make art, Ren is the art is probably the best way to describe him, in my eyes, he's incredible. and that's because he put his heart and soul into everything he does and it's abundantly evident
If you're still interested in exploring the different sides of Ren, try "Dear God", and "Money Game" parts 1 and 2 (though I like 2 the best). Some very educated observations.

Big Push is on an indefinite hiatus while Ren is in Canada for medical treatment. All being well hopefully we see them back at it in six months. Pig Push are amazing bot Gorran Kendall And Romain Axisa are artists in their own right and the three alternate lead vocals in the band. So talented 😂❤

One of the things that differentiates Ren from a lot of rappers ( in addition the sophistication of his lyrics) is his sheer musicality.
